Hope Soldo is ok, too. I noticed you had one more out, too. You’ve dropped Aarts.

Are you saying Soldo is Covid positive or a close contact? Haven't seen that news.

For what its worth I would add some natural grunt; IN Vlas, Cumberland,Stack & Mcintosh. OUT Jack, Aarts, Ross, and Nank. Hope Soldo is Ok
Balta =CHF,

close contact
lets hope my son caught it after the chat with Ivan & Dion

but good of them to have a chat and take a pic with some drunk young guys celebrating a quaddie win

No I am not sure if training was today? being a Sunday game I am guessing main training will be Friday and the other session maybe tomorrow?
Trained today apparently

Based on Peter Burge...

- Riewoldt to miss a week, potentially back after that, will have to assess.

- Prestia, minor, running today, hammy normally a "bicep" injury and he has injured two other parts instead, so yep minor, expecting a quicker turnaround, sounds like 1-2 weeks but no timeframe given

- KMac main training this week and if gets through will be available

- Vlastuin running flat out but injury is complicated as he cannot kick fully still, progressing his kicking with a light ball and short kicks, sounds like slow going, probably round 4 at the absolute earliest

- Lambert looking to step things up even more this week, things going well as they can, has been able to tick most boxes, they now just want him to try participate in match practice this week, then will need a few weeks of backing that up, so potentially available any time from round 5 or so if things go well

Last I heard he was likely requiring surgery and would miss most of the year. Great news but geez I'm nervous for him I hope it doesn't make things worse.

They consulted a bunch of specialists and after all that they decided to go with the current option, which involves getting him back into things.

Reading between some lines (and good chance I'm wrong btw) it's dire enough that surgery might be career ending so he will probably play it out as long as he can from here until he just can't anymore, and that'll be that.

Good to hear RJ. Hopefully Dion can stay glued from now on...

That's bloody nasty. I have all my appendages crossed.

Well explained, first time I have understood why it was a strength of ours in 3 out of 4 GFs being second to contested plays!
And you wonder why you played in the 2nd's last week!

Its the unpressured versus the pressured clearances. If the other team gets the clearance with a dump kick forward that is not such an issues. Time and again you watch the games we lose badly and it is clean possession out of the middle with control over where it is going which kills us. Not really surprising, clean clearances out of the middle are a huge advantage.

We have to find ways to get the clearance and prevent clean clearances by the opposition.

The big problem is that game was built around the fundamental of applying pressure on the opposition ball and on Thursday night we had 13 tackles to half time and 32 for the game.

I need LTRTR but we wouldn't have been at that level many, if any times in the past 4 or 5 years and definitely not in wins.
Just on that "pressure " factor. I didn't see any numbers in the meedjia regarding pressure except after the Grand Finale replay n the pressure factor was noted as varying between low 170's to high 180's resulting in the momentum swings during the game.

We were regularly running up in the 200's during our premiership seasons n oppo teams could sometimes match us for a qtr or two before crumbling to 170's / 180's and ultimate defeat.

If 170's / 180's is deemed the norm for pressure n enough to cause large momentum swings then all the recent rule changes have made for a pretty and uncontested running game of skill n finesse with not much grunt, plus if we're no longer running near our 200's pressure factor. Then we're in for a world of hurt over the next couple of years.
