Robin Nahas

If we could get a decent pick as compensation I'd take it, whilst I admire the way Nahas has gone about it this year, we can upgrade on him, and he will always be limited due to his size in the role he can play. We have to many light bodies trying to masquerade as midfielders and when our second stringers, like Edwards, Nahas and co go in there we get pushed off the ball far to easily.

No disrespect to Nahas but we must use every opportunity we can to advance our list and if it means giving up guys like Nahas then so be it.
Exactly. Wouldnt be bothered to see him go depending on the compensation.
For what its worth I believe this rumour, at a fan function on Tuesday night Reece Conca had to tell Robin to get off his phone, and he just walked around and grunted at everyone I hear.

Hope he's not getting ahead of himself. Met him last year and seemed like a decent guy, hope a bit of success hasn't gone to his head.

Positive from that is the leadership and maturity by Conca to not let an older teammate get away with that.

Interesting.......I heard a similar story about a week ago that didn't paint Nahas in the best light. Apparently a bit of a p***k.

If Nahas wants to go and we get compensated in line with his form this season, pretty much agree with this.

Seems to be popular with the supporters - 2nd in the PRE award, and a bit of a buzz goes through the crowd when he looks like getting the ball.

It will be a real shame to loss Robin. Competent small forwards are rare and hard to draft and we've spent a lot of development time on him.

Disappointing if true, better than losing one of our A grade players but still a shame. Hopefully second round pick for compensation given he would be top 10 in B&F

If its true it means that GWS cannot have a go at Lids because they can only take one uncontracted player per club over the 2 year period . Lids would still be vulnerable to Free agency from 2012 but seeing he would be an 8 year player ( not a 10 year player ) as long as we matched any offer from a club he cannot leave as a free agent as I understand it .

Bottom line is that if we lose a player to GWS then its better that it is someone like Nahas even though I would prefer he stay .

Take the compensation and run.
Robbie has improved this year after working his butt off but he's not renowned as the hardest worker on the track and this led to some of his issues in 2010.
He was close to being delisted last year and I don't reckon it will take much for him to drop off again as he needs to be 100% to make the most of his ability.
If that's the worst we get hit by GWS, I won't lose any sleep.

If Nahas goes it will be via trade or the PSD, forget about GWS uncontracted they will save that one!

By the way, the reson I said it was high unlikely was because of these comments by Nahas back in May:

Contract talks have already started for Nahas, but he won't even consider that as a security - there is too much to achieve this year, and too many traps he has fallen into before.

"I don't want to leave this club," he says. "It has given me my opportunity. I owe them a lot. Hopefully I can repay them with plenty of years of consistent football.

"I don't want to come in, have a little go and then say, 'See you later'. I want to stay and hopefully build towards a succesful era for the Richmond Football Club."
