Robin Nahas

Interestingly he is coming second in the prestigious Pre awards.

I guess if we do trade him, we will be 'selling high'for once.

Yet another Good stat their Goody, some people can't help but say silly things.

He's not even close to top 50. 50th is 7.5 turnovers per game. Nahas is 5.2 this year and 4.7 over his career. I've always felt Nahas disposes pretty well. His biggest issue in the past has been trying to do too much with ball in hand ala Rodan used to but even there I think he's been a lot better this year.

Yet you think Gourdis isn't getting a game because he is too good and Beavis would be embarrassed by the performance ?

Exactly. Wouldnt be bothered to see him go depending on the compensation.
For what its worth I believe this rumour, at a fan function on Tuesday night Reece Conca had to tell Robin to get off his phone, and he just walked around and grunted at everyone I hear.

Maybe he has a life out of football, some personal issues to deal with? Sheesh, some of you posters are quick to leap to conclusions about our players, look for anything that provides the opportunity to take the moral higher ground. :-[

To me it really depends on the level of compensation we'd get, I wouldn't be losing any sleep about Nahas leaving but wouldn't want him to go for nothing.

No way do I want to see him go, afterall im one of his biggest supporters.
I'd hate to think he'd walk over to GWS for the deal but I have a feeling he'll stay on...

Does his contract expire this year?

yes out of contract end of this year.

Take the compensation and run.
Robbie has improved this year after working his butt off but he's not renowned as the hardest worker on the track and this led to some of his issues in 2010.
He was close to being delisted last year and I don't reckon it will take much for him to drop off again as he needs to be 100% to make the most of his ability.
If that's the worst we get hit by GWS, I won't lose any sleep.

On the money for mine, especially the last sentence.

What are you on about? He wouldn't even be the biggest turnover player at Richmond. Probably not even in our Top 5.

Posted a couple of days ago that I wouldn't be too shattered if Nahas went, but he was one of the standard-setters for intensity today over four quarters. Top effort.

Great game Nahas, was impressive with some great delivery into F50 and pressure acts

Lol at the 'wouldn't be bothered if he signed with GWS' attitude towards Nahas. Nahas is one of the most improved players in the comp.

We bemoan our players for not improving, then when one does it's ok if we lose him.

Then these are the same people who wonder why we never improve.

Nahas breaks lines, makes defenders panic, tackles, kicks goals. Something a lot of our players still, after years in the system don't do. Considering our track record with small forwards, can you imagine what havoc he would wreak with our defence?

Goal kicking is much improved too. I remember last year getting so frustrated at the sprayed snaps...being a small forward, he had to take advantage of those opportunities. Now he's pretty reliable in front of goal and his field kicking has improved too. Hard work leads to confidence. Really good effort this year - and he's been consistent too

his kicking has improved a bit. Still hs no left though.

I don't mind him, he always has high intensity and is a big part of why our forward press is working reasonably well. He also seems to inspire guys like Reiwoldt and Vickers to work harder defensively when the ball is in dispute in our forward line.
