Rich Vs Adel (March 11th, 2011)-Teams [Merged]

Get it out of the way now and hopefully Dimma can use this as a reference point for the rest of the year as being completely unacceptable come season proper.
Hard not to get disenchanted but lets give them a chance. If this happens in round one than vent fury like a cloven hooved demon but as it is only a praccy match lets not get too carried away.
We will be OK this year.

You're kiddin surely. You trying to tell me 2 weeks away from the season starting and we decide to put in a crap performance just to throw off Carlton. God help us!

I dont think it was a bluff, i was just throwing the question out there.
So were you there ?
If so, maybe you can answer my final question.

Did we set up mostly one on one ?

Was definitely a frustrating game to watch. :pullhair :pullhair

Hardwick really does need to make them work harder. A lot of turnovers are a result of the ball carrier having zero options because the players up field refuse to work hard to create options.

Foley showed he's still got it!
Martin is a gun!
Mailman showed some good signs
Conca, Batchelor and Helbig all look like they will play senior game this year

It's not all bad news ;D

This off the RFC site:

DH:

"We had a big chat about it and we'll go away and address a few things, but we've got to get a hell of a lot better if we're going to compete to a reasonable level in round one.

"It was really disappointing the way we finished off."

Tambling playing well. Krakouer looking good for Collingwood. Rodan cruising after 2 knee ops. Crows smashing us today.
Happy days.

tamblings 2 turnovers gave us goals and alspo in the 3rd qtr the runner was out to him, when he didnt run on for an assit, in which thompson got caught holding the ball.
Its the same Tambling in a better side. dont be scared he is still crap. no loss and the fans reminded him at every time he went near it...

this thread is depressing to read. feeling pretty negative about the season before it's even started. i just need some hope that we're not gonna get smashed every week

the 'sooking' posts, as you put it, are actually the honest ones.

I've never understood why many people on this board would prefer to be lied to. Are they that fragile?

No lies from what I read. It's just silly assessing a team performance from a practice match.

There are players who won't make the cut in the long term and there are players who are not performing 100% yet. It's what it says....a 'practice' match.

Same old attitudes every year from fragile supporters.

Any RFC supporter who thought we would actually be above the bottom four this year is seriously misguided. We have so much work to do and it wont happen this year or next. How many players have we turned over in the last couple of years? And we have plenty more to go before we even dare think about finals.

And to even think about giving Hardwick the flick now is absurd. Give the guy a chance. He cant turn crap into gold in such a short period of time.

Well the coach doesn't agree.

He was furious according to the website

The Biggest dissapointment in the entire Pre-season for me has been Graham. Not only does he get beaten at the centre Bounces and throw ins but he,s a liabilty around the ground.I don,t even think he,s taken an overhead mark this pre-season.I really thoght he had turned the corner at the middle of last year but he,s actually gone backwards.
We are better of using someone like Tuck in the ruck.

definately won't get smashed every week. one possible positive is that in previous years we've been crap in the NAB Cup but good in the NAB Challenge - possibly giving some false hope.
We've actually been pretty ordinary throughout the whole preseason apart from Port at Alice Springs. I prefer it that way. All I'm looking for is keeping the Rnd 1 loss to under 8 goals.

That's good. At least he shows and speaks the truth, not like previous coaches who spun every *smile* letter of the alphabet.

Just accept the fact we ARE a bottom 4 team with a coach about to start his 2nd year.

We're starting to sound like Bummer supporters.

Gee......imagine if we had won by 11 goals.

Expectations for round 1 would have been unreal.

At least now we can sit down for the carlscum clash optimistic at best, a more realistic outlook.
