That shows signs of "throwing in the towel" to me ........ NOT something I like to even think is possible, a serious sitdown needed and some finger-pointing wouldn't go astray either. Wanna be a primmadonna and sulk, there's the door Son.
Really poor, but think time has crept up on a few - Cotchin, Edwards & Jack (all looked old & slow). Lost our best midfielder in Prestia & Dusty was all we had left.
Hasn’t addressed midfield/clearance issue. Will be interesting to see what they do selection wise. Need one more big bodied midfielder and speed - both were lacking tonight.

He has a distinct style when tackled to dive forward and throw the ball out. Ump got sucked in a few times. Also caused that stupid double 50 against Graham.

Fast track a Sonsie or Brown. Get Stack into the team somehow. Soldo or Nank. Take a pick. Cant play both and can use Balta as the support ruckman.
Riewoldt or Lynch. Not both. Leave Balta up fwd makes it more mobile. KMac back in. Baker as a sml fwd or back. Cannot play as a mid. Gibcus/Miller or Broad.

Dion, Flossy, Graham. All three are a genuine concern now, week to week propositions. They have been for 1-2 years now.
I dont want to think it, but let's hope KMac doesnt join the group - his calf issues arent just 2 weeks ago. But last year too.

We are rolling out a WAY different setup to the one we had in the 2020 GF.
Starting Balta back was a timid error. I don’t think Dimma will make that same mistake twice.
Let the midfield work into the season. Let the newish backline start to gel. Let Jack, Tom and Noah work off the cobwebs.
Let Soldo find more fitness every week. Allow Nank a night off considering the recent illness.
We are playing to a different structure but we still like to bleed clearance so we can set up our runners defensively.
This is where our running strength lies - Pickett, KMac (out tonight), Lambert (out tonight), Prestia, Edwards, Bolton, Short, Rioli, George, Graham, Ralphsmith, etc
Aarts isn’t polished and Ross isn’t quite at the level, but we will get a look at a few others.
Disappointing result tonight but the club deserves a week or two for the new game plan to settle.
Teague is the key. I believe he said something along the lines of the new look Richmond will take time.
If we are 1-4 after 5 I will concede it’ll be a longish year, but there are too many stars out there to raise the white flag.
