You are right MT. I have Heppell in my Dreamteam, so watched him closely. He didn't do enough for a player of his standing. Could be a one of I suppose, but I have seen him a couple of times this season, and he hasn't done that much. Second year blues? It happens, but the big thing will be whether he gets over it.
More then likely is second year blues, but when a player is so reliant on being spoon fed the ball and has clearly shirked the contests a couple times this year it doesn't bode well for the future when the game has gone up another cog in terms of contested ball winning ability and the ability to defend, 2 things that I IMO think Heppell doesn't do either of particularly well.

Yeah that was great. Very coachable kid I'd think.
Exact same thing that came to my mind when I first read about Conca, you could tell from day dot that the kid just wanted to be a sponge and get every bit of advice he could from anyone, take it on board and put it into practice.
Perfect example for me was last year when Milne gave him a touch up, the kid could have quite easily gone into his shell for the rest of the year, but instead, he learns from it, moves on and plays some outstanding footy for the majority of the year.
It's these types of characters that I hope FJ and co keep recruiting, the ones who have an appetite to learn and get better, can never go wrong with this type of recruiting philosophy, because at the end of the day, whether the kid turns out to be a flop, or an A grader, or even just a solid footballer, you know deep down that they gave it there best shot and never gave up.
