A guy like Joel Selwood isn't super fast but positions himself well and is a clearance machine, Conca just needs to play to his strengths and focus on winning his fair share of contested footy.
Ty Esler said:Marc Murphy is not lightening quick, nor is Pendelbury, Swan, Black or a lot of other gun midfielders. Conca works well in traffic, goes hard, makes space and is a good user of the footy. Is going to be a very good player for a long time.
I haven't seen today's game yet but this is what I mean when I compare him to a point guard. And the ability to overlap and have more than one involvement is hugely important and will determine just how important he becomes for us. You feel if he touches it 2-3 times in a chain we score, as with Chimp (only needs one a lot of the time), Lids, Dusty, all good players.SCOOP said:Like his ability to keep the ball moving and makes smart choices with the ball.
