I reckon some people actually do expect that Jukebox Extended mix. Which is mental

Can thank Dusty for that.

FWIW I think Conca is an elite kick. There I said it.
Barely wastes a disposal by comparison with some.

Agree with you too. He is a very good to elite kick IMO. One of our best.

But they will look at stats, and say he has poor skills because he has a lot of clangers or something like that. Try watching a game people, If you can't see Reece talent then there is something wrong.

Has had 2 average games in a row wait until he plays a good one, everyone will jump on the bandwagon.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Heppell is a better player than Conca. Conca will be a very good footballer.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

For me the question on Conca is not kicking, it's pace.

And even that isn't something that will hold him back but I am not sure he has that burst. But he has the knack of finding time and space.

The question isn't if he plays 150 games but how good he ends up.

Right on Scoop. He has that great ability to look like he always has lots of time, which is why he'll be a very good player. At this stage he does still make alot of mistakes but that's just the learning experience. Gld that we're getting games into these youngsters.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

I wish someone would tell him about the holding the ball rule. A few weeks in a row, he's been done for jumping on it and just curling into a ball holding it in.

He'll get pinged every time.

I agree. It worries me. Is he a slow learner or what.
Do not lie on the ball Conca. Despearte players don't do that and he isn't anywhere near desperate enough.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Showed a bit, copped the knee to the scone, came back and kicked a goal. He's got the right stuff.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

I think today proved that Conca is one tough competitor, to come back and kick that goal will definitely earn him some brownie points with Dimma.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Pick a boo!! Conca is no good ;D

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

One thing for sure is that Conca is one tough hombre.
He'll be good when the games are high pressured and hotly contested, i.e. September.

Yeah, it's a fair enough observation. On the plus side he reads the play well, and well and truly puts his head over the pill. I reckon his go is to put on heaps of muscle.

In a weird way he reminds me of Dane Swan in his early days. He stays involved and is not scared to get his hands dirty. I think he can be good inside, just needs a couple more pre-seasons and a big weight program.

Agree.

With his game (much more inside than most think) he's going to benefit massively from a few more kg's over then next couple years. Was good today.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Thought he was slow of mind today a couple of times a bit Jackson style. Overall he was tough to get back and kick the goal.

Yeah I get the Dane Swan thing. Conca does have a slight waddle and isn't blesed with pace but I can see him over lapping time and time again.

Not sure I would bulk him up that muhc muscle. Just a pre-season worth. Like his ability to keep the ball moving and makes smart choices with the ball.

For an inside mid, I don't think extreme pace is a prereqisite, he seems to have good evasion and is generally a quick thinker. A guy like Joel Selwood isn't super fast but positions himself well and is a clearance machine, Conca just needs to play to his strengths and focus on winning his fair share of contested footy.
