This. Played 15 games between 2015-17.

It would be irresponsible for us to give him 4 years, and he'd be foolish to knock it back if Freo are offering.

His croc days are over. Walk up start for the dominant side. Tough as nails. Irresponsible? Non-optimal maybe all things considered, fair enough. I guess its dumb of me to expect non-hyperbole on PRE after all these years.

I'd take that bet BTW. will give freo good service.

Agree with the first bit, but the last bit misses the point. He is one of the best 15th to 22nd best players on a list in the league, easily. Thats why he is going and its the nature of being a good side. You can't have a team full of stars.

He's top 18 for us, and he's top 10 or 12 for freo, so you'r half right, and half very wrong. I fully understand the machinations of why he's leaving, that's footy.

Grimes' last 5 years: 23, 25, 16, 18, 19. That's the reason he's been signed. And the fact he's been one of the better lockdown defenders in the league in that time, while Conca has been at best a C grade mid (who before this year, had played 15 games in 3 years).

I'm not bashing Conca and I agree with your earlier point that no team has 22 superstars. He's a great fella, who clearly loves the club and gives his all for the team.

But if we can't find someone who can bring what he does either currently on the list or from the draft, we're doing it wrong.

Always liked Reece but never came on as hoped and we can do better.

Happy that he will get another four years. Seems like a great clubman.

Lol Conca last five years 18, 6, 6, 3, 19 games.

One’s best is All-Australian good, the others is player 15- 22. A supposed midfielder who has never got it 30 times at AFL level.

True, I meant my thoughts were we went for lynch (1), hope we get a good(or better) replacement for Conca.(2).

Reece seems to be a very popular clubman and quality person. If he has been offered four years he should take it and run. The club couldn't possibly match that deal. He was never worth pick 6 but it wasn't his fault he was selected so high.
