HIGH PICK BUSTS:

Im not going to go through all the data but draft pick 6 seems to be a bust over all draft. He may be only one of a handful to have played 100+ games as a pick 6. Injury has probably robbed him another 80 games and the lack of continuity never allowed him to fulfill his potential.

Re: Reece Conca

Four years for an injury prone back flanker with iffy kicking skills is outrageous.

If I'm a Freo supporter I'd be furious.

Good on Conca's management for being able to get that deal. Golden ticket stuff.

Do we get anything if Stengle goes? Surely he would have been given opportunities in the seniors next year. We can’t give all our reserve players away for nothing!
3 down as it looks like Lloyd is also off to the doggie

The Curse of Pick 6 is very real.

Conca is one of the better Pick 6 players

Yep, through my work ive had dealings with another club’s list management team and they knew of the curse!

seriously?

A player isn't a star therefore he's a bust. Super nuanced analysis there pal.

signs are his croc days are over. Played most of the year, recovered quick from a bad and unlucky injury. A walk up start in the side who dominated the season. It depends on the pay, it won't be silly. 4 years on mid-tier dough for a side that is trying to build is good buying. simple.

4 years seems too long given his history. Well done to his management he’d be crazy not to take it.

Didn’t show anything extra in big games that makes you think he’s anything more than an average foot soldier. As long as u pay him accordingly that is ok.

Re: Reece Conca

Better them than us.

The under/over on how many games he plays in 4 years?

58.5

But he does butcher it quite often. Just my opinion.

If not quite often - he's always had a tendency to cause a turnover out of nothing when it looks like he couldn't possibly miss the target if he tried.
But he also did the hard stuff and tackled well in the contest. Never stopped trying.
If he goes - good luck to him.

Yes agreed, Ten. Just sayin that although I never doubted his ability to create a contest, once he had it though, I was never confident he could do something with it.

This. Played 15 games between 2015-17.

It would be irresponsible for us to give him 4 years, and he'd be foolish to knock it back if Freo are offering.
