Fair dinkum, its a bloody joke. Brainless. He has never played a good game. Shanks a kick so everything he does is crap. Brainless. He has shown time and again he's not a gun. I've said it a thousand bloody times he's a bum. dumbsville

Edited for accuracy

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

He was better this week than last but still not nowhere near most of his team mates in terms of decision making and understanding the game.

Maybe comments about him taking a while to find the pace of the game after injury are accurate. it's a high price to pay though...

Will be watching closely again next week.

Come on he was top 6 today, or top 8 at very worst. .

Spot on. Can't fault his game today.

Although it does help when you play the bloke in his most natural position.

Watch away Einstein. Fair dinkum. I know whose understanding of the game is challenged.

Jeez - so some don't think he's a gun. You quote everyone criticising him and state how dumb they are for having hat opinion. Seems many more can see his issues, and simply point out his flaws. you're just posting fanboi stuff. You can't be taken seriously. *smile* me more than concas footskills

You could edit my posts again if it makes you feel better pal. Seriously, a lost of the criticism, for example yours, is dumb and unfair. I cracked it.

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

Reece was good today once moved into the midfield. You have to give him time to regain form, confidence and the speed of the AFL game again after no continuity. Through all his injury troubles, the guy's attitude and dedication to the RFC have been exemplary. He deserves some luck for a change. Might silence his critics if so.

Trouble is, Caddy, Prestia and Broad ready to come back in.

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

He was good in the midfield.

Prestia and caddy are better options in there.

He was poor down back.

Broad, though limited offensively, is a better option down there.

Depth player and that’s fine.

I'm not following this argument at all but based on past history, I'd say yours.

I'm sure Dimma will give Conca every chance though. He is very loyal to his faves.

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

Don't worry about fixing the flaws. Make the most of your strengths. Why do people persist in denigrating players. How about we all start picking on your weaknesses and see how you like it. He is a cop in the Tigers machine.

That's right. Back in history, unrelated to this debate, I said dimma could do it. so logically I was wrong then so I must be wrong now? Impeccable logic as usual.. Not that there is any point pointing it out, as usual.

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

Reecey Conca, 24 disposals, 9 contested, 79% disposal efficiency, 2 clangers, 4 tackles, 5 clearances, 4 centre clearances, 3 I50s, Listed in the best on the AFL and The Age (only 2 I’ve looked at)

He loves playing against the Hawks. If he can keep it up and if he can iron out those clangers, or even reduce them, huge.

I'll take that every week from Reecey, thanks very much ;)

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

I think Conca placed himself ahead of Jack Graham in that Hawks game. He turned our clearances around once he was put in the middle.

I'm betting it will be Graham out for Prestia and Conca keeps his spot.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Reecey the Concareter's biggest issue always has and always will be his injuries. There's not many players in the comp that can step straight back into the game from long term or multiple injuries and play elite.
Into his 8th season and still hasn't got to 90 games, would like nothing better than to see him get a season or two without injuries and a full opportunity to completely trust his body won't let him down n see how he plays with some chance at consistency.
Doubt he'll ever classify as a star player, but injury free he should be a very good second tier midfielder, poor bastard just never really gets the chance to prove it.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Conca is not best 22 in any one position... as a backman you'd rather have Broad or Short (particularly when kicking), as a mid you'd rather have Miles.

His saving grace is that he can do a bit of both. In both the Carlton and Hawks games he got more touches late in the game through the centre. When the full time mids tire he finds opportunities.

Broad apples and oranges. Different sizes, roles, positions. I can understand why people prefer Shorty, he's a better kick which is noticeable, but Reece has him in all other aspects of the game, and some of those aspects are the premium aspects. Miles isn't in the same league evasion and creativity-wise.

Hawks game got more touches through the centre? Master of understatement Colonel. He was up in Cotchy and Dusty air for clearances and centre clearances last week, and that trifecta streets ahead in those stats of everyone.
