Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Nah. It's a very interesting study into the basic human need to blame someone. Recent criticism seriously failed to understand the big picture, people willing him to fail. Can play, full stop.

I dont reckon its that simple snake.

I reckon he's a very good inside mid.

he had 10 CP today. as many as chimp and dusty.

you cant really do that at half back.

in the first half (when he was at Half back), his sloppy disposals stood out (it was only 2 kicks, they just stood out. he went at 76% today so theres nothing sloppy about it)

I honestly reckon hes a midfield bull, not a running HBF'er.

His inside game is orders of magnitude better than his outside game and a HBF'er is outside these days (see Houli)

We've gotta play him inside. I actually think too much is being asked of Jack Graham, and it should be Reecy C sauntering into the guts with Cotchy, Dusty and Dion as our go to, starting centre set up.

Good posting easy. I’m not really a Conca fan but you have described him perfectly

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

He'll get another game, although someone has to make way for Caddy, but he's a fringe player at best and the less games he plays, the better shape the team will be in.

And we have Prestia due back not forgetting Broad in defence

Lloyd goes back out for caddy as unquestionably as why he came in for him.

Reecy C was in our best 5 today, and if he gets a run at it and spend serious midfield minutes, he gives us a hell of a lot of creative contested ball.

When hes going, I reckon hes probably only second to Sheds at contested creativity, who is off the charts elite.

I reckon it is that simple in terms of the whipping boy bull. Can play, has shown time and again. But there are the hardcore baggers who cling to this crap that he's no good, can't play, never could and never will be able to. Makes me want to start a PRE brown posts thread.

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

Even though I think his best period of footy was at the start of last year playing in the back half, I think his a grunter midfielder, that needs to play with a defensive mindset. Don’t mind him as a fringie, skills worry me at times , however there’s no reason he can’t play a role if he stays fit

More class than grunt today Christopher Cross, but yeah he can get grunty.

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

Horrible first quarter but one of our best for the rest of the game when moved in the guts.

No doubt he was good today snake, I just think if he is to stay in the 22 when the premiership stars come back that’s his best chance of staying in.

Hopefully he or CEllis can become locks in the midfield rotation, as I think we still need a couple more genuine mids in a long campaign

Re: Reece "Silky Smooth" Conca

His first quarter was terrible but to his credit he got better the longer the game went. Not a bad game overall.

Agree Ridley. Went ok once out of the backline.

He has zero class but tries hard. Last week was abysmal. His first quarter was awful, 2 shocking kicks. He went to th middle and played well. His sloppy disposal is not as noticeable when he’s in the contest. He can’t play Hbf but as a replacement mid he may find a spot.

Classy?? Not close, but he tries his guts out.
