Definitely had one effort running fwd that had plenty of penetration that only Jack read marking from behind. Or maybe the Norf defender was predicting another floater. Any way's, not hard to see the upside that had the recruiters so focussed on this guy.

Why? We have been whinging for a decade seemingly about our inability to take out a small forward. Conca looks like he has the poise for the job. Newman is not getting any younger though maybe Batchelor is Newman's successor. I don't think Conca is tall enogh to be able to play "tall" like Newman has had to from time to time.

I just really like his composure. Always has time, never seems to be hurried.

He is one out of the box.

they can stick there rising star, Dusty would've won last year, but got ripped off.
and now with conca he has played in all of our games and played well in 3 of them..
how in the hell did that Port kid get nominated last week? Pittard!!
As long as he keeps on improving he will become a strong contributor to our side.

Agree. His long kicks will improve once he builds strength in his legs.

Knows how to find the footy and importantly use it to the teams advantage.

Loved the kick he put through to Jack in the second half. His kick went deep to Jack, who stayed back as his opponent went under the flight of the ball.

It was great to see him take possession, and actually think about where he wanted to put the ball. When I saw it was Conca near the forward 50 arc, with a bit of time to steady himself, you just knew something good was going to come out of it.

Really nice stuff.

Yep and a very good one at that.
Credit to Francis here. I cannot see any reach at all.
Will play every game this year baring injury and likely a couple of hundred more at least after that.

My boy is finding his feet well I think. Can't wait for him to settle into a midfield role with Cotch, Martin and Lids in a year or two.

We're finally accumulating some class.
