Ain't that the truth. Combined with a midfield that got smashed in the first half, and being surrounded by error riddled team mates, it is truly a tough gig for a young player.

But I though he did OK; a nice debut. He'll be a good player.

Loved the way he wasn't afraid to take the game on, often selling some candy to get himself out of trouble.

Seriously this kid moves beautifully across the turf.
There was a clearance in the third that Deledio was credited with but was made by Conca as he scythed through the pack that made me sit up.
I think he's gonna be a gun.

Not the last time that question will be asked, dissident. Heppell is built for the game and quick thinking.

Conca had a good debut IMO. He is not built like Batchelor or Helbig - very much a boy. He's cautious but took his lumps once or twice. Not quick, he was too hurried when clear and squandered the ball occasionally. Once I remember clearly, he was gassed and missed a target.

Whne Conca adjusts to the tempo I'm pretty confident that his feet will be eleeeeet.

For disposal by foot his was a stunning debut. But he'll never be a unit.

Super effort by Conca last night. His composure for a 1st game player was impressive.

I remember that clearly as well TOO. Knew right there that this kid has the tools to play AFL.

Absolutely thrilled with Conca - a great debut! I think we have a ripper here!

Very impressed with his poise, his sure hands & delightful kicking .... (I think I've been listening to Bruce too much!)

Very good debuts for Batch & Helbig ;D

Very good effort for a first game. Given that the ball hardly left our backline for 3 quarters of football he showed some class. Great taste of the big league for him and he earned a guernsey in next weeks game. :clap

He is seriously composed this kid and had class written all over him.

For a kid who has not had much of a pre season he showed his obvious talent. His start has been great and you can see that he will be a good midfielder eventually very smooth and elusive.

The young fellas impressed last night and Batch will be fantastic.

Kids a talent, plenty of upside once he gets a season or two under the belt. Got plenty of ticker as well, thought he was gunna leave in a wheelie bin when he ran into the hole under a high suicide ball, luckily for Reecie the Concareter the Cartoon guy missed on the way through.

Just watching the replay on One and running an eye over the kids

love what Conc's did last night

Noticed that his frame is NOT gonna be slight like a few his compatriots but he is gonna develop a solid core and frame that will make him hard to tackle.

Happy with his selection.

i may or may not be thinking of the same piece of play but it seriously impressed me.

had the ball under pressure amongst 4 blues just forward of half back but dodged and weaved and thought his way out of the traffic and delivered to a teammate.

thought conca had some early nerves with his first couple of kicks but after that play i was certain we had a star in the making.
