I'll be very happy when first year players simply can't walk into the senior side. Means we will be finally getting somewhere in terms of talent and depth.

If we get a Mercuri or Wiley clone then we have done very well.lamb22 said:To me he looks like a polished updated amalgam of Rob Wiley, Mark Mercuri and Joe Misiti with a bit of Strawbs (O Dwyer) on top.
Wiley had that ability to slide in to a contest and escape on his feet. Mercuri the continuous movement forward and the ability to find the best target by foot either short, mid and sometimes long distance and Misiti also had that inside out pass on the right that usually found a target.
Chick Strawbs 'conca' on top.
What ? The entire pre season ? Gee........lucky he didn't go to another club - was thin ice they were on holding him back.........shamekha said:Yep they held him back for a whole pre season

Swallow a prohibitively short favourite at 2.75.

Maybe we should call him Don Conca.TOT70 said:It's an Italian name.
Dario Conca is an Argentinian Soccer player of Italian extraction so that may be where the Argentinian connection comes from. Argentina has a very large Italian community.
There are a number of towns and regions in Italy with the word Conca in their name, including Conca dei Marini on the Amalfi coast near Positano, an absolutely sensational part of the world.
