Re: Adam Goodes

I only saw the 2nd half so I think I might have missed something? What did he do?

After all the fuss about the war dance, I'm playing it safe this time and assuming that it's some ancient aboriginal custom that goes back thousands of years for a man to touch another man's genitals.

Please don't tell me I'm wrong, again.

You're all over it. In fact the saints took this custom one step further several years ago.

It might be Goodes version of "welcome to the country"

He whinges more than any of my 6 y.o's friends. In fact probably more than all of them combined... and they get grounded for such behavior! :)

So has anyone changed their thoughts after last night's unsportsman like display?

I hold him accountable for what he does on the field.

The fact that he his behaviour on the field sometimes crosses the boundaries in no way says anything about him off the field.

Come on mate, of course it does! Well, unless he suffers from bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder...

Re: Round 17 - other games

Geez, throwing an imaginary spear into the crowd with anger is pretty poor.

If Richo gets fined for giving the crowd the finger, surely Jetta should be fined? Or does he get a free pass to express violence towards the paying public under the guise of 'cultural dance'?

More importantly though, it suggests that some players at Sydney may be starting to crack.

So now Jetta is feigning throwing spears at the crowd? Imagine if it was someone pointing a gun?
I'm not sure that Adam's war dance has been a positive move in the long run. Seems to be creating more racial division than ever and that is not a good thing at all.
The AFL should seriously consider cracking down on this.

Or the idiots could just stop booing him.

As a footy player he is now a pathetic, whinging, dirty, sniping sook bag. Just because he has taken a positive stand on Aboriginal rights, that shouldn't make him some type of protected species on the footy field.

One of my most disliked footy players ever.

It was clearly a celebration, Goodesy and Jason Mifsud told us so. Jetta was simply bursting with joy and sharing it with the crowd.

Who was the player who used to do that remarkably stupid thing with the 'air' gun after getting a goal? I am pretty sure he copped some flack, as she absolutely should have, so I would also hope Jetta gets a good talking too as well.

Jetta?

Nah, Goodes.

I used to know Nicky Winmar, and his family, and it would be interesting to know what his thoughts are on the specific actions taken by Goodes and Jetta. What Nicky did was inspiring.
