Pick 9 ND 2012 – Who should we pick?

Still cannot see Wines getting to pick 9.

Everything I read about Toupas has him in the top three picks. But i see Arron Fiora written all over this kid.

Toumpas looks to be off to the Dees, port have supposedly committed to Grundy and the Dogs don't want anymore inside mids. Brisse supposedly looking for a CHF.

Could we actually land Wines? I really don't want to get myself excited.

I hope so :fing32 been my pic from the start of this thread

Would have to be Vlas. He's the better leader as well. I wouldn't be surprised if we call out Vlas' number even if Wines is available.

That would be staggering on a needs basis, talent basis and fitness basis.

It means that the tigers could land the best inside midfielder of the draft with Wines looking likely to slip to Richmond in a dream result.

Dream result if it occurs, if Wines is on the board at pic 9 we must grab him no disrespect to Vlas but u dont pass on the best inside mid in the draft....

no way,

melbourne should take Toumpas everyday of the week ahead of Wines ILO.

be crazy to overlook him.

You dont take guys at pick 4 because they are mates with someone else you've drafted

Not so sure about that Leysy. Think you are selling Wines way short.

Whos gonna be the Polec of the top 10 this year

Interesting question Craig, I think O'Rourke is the type of player who may not live up to his lofty draft position.

gee wines kicking looks awful.

In Blair we trust

There's a touch of Cogs about Wines, very similar players right down to the awkward kicking action.

Heard from a decent source (someone with good AFL contacts) that we are very keen on both Aidan Corr and Garner. Wouldn't have a clue at what picks, but that's what I was told today. I would assume (and hope) that we're looking at Corr with our pick 32/34 and not 9...

Just thought I'd throw this out there.

Ive really warmed to Corr. I think he could be there at 32 and I would be absolutely rapt to get him. garner i like too but think 9 is a reach and hell be gone at 32.

My umpteenth dream picks

9 Simpson or Mayes (assuming grundy is gone, but I gotta admit, im getting cold feet a bit with only one sleep to go)
32 Aidan Corr (about as good an irish name as youle get without O' in it)
34 Jack Thurlow
43 Spencer White

This gives us goal kicking electriXy (9), fast, good kicking KPB (32), a versatile JB type (34), a ticket in a buddy franklin raffle (43). OK I am locking this in.

You know heaps more than me Bully, but Ive got a hunch O'Rourke will be the best of his year.

Jeez I'll take anyone who can string 3 words together at this stage. Let's draft the most articulate side in the AFL.
