Absolute last thing I want to see is some *smile* in the coaching dept move any of Tross, *smile* or Grub from our back half. These three have virtually grown up together as defenders, understand and complement one another's games extremely well. They're the core of our defence, shuffle n rotate others around these blokes if you must, but never ever try n fix what is not only not broken but working extremely well.nafe brown said:I've been saying this for the past couple of weeks but I would love to see Davey go forward and Ryan take his place we have no centre half forward who can take A grab consistently and with Davey he has great hands I think it's worth a try
Probably not something for this season. But in coming seasons, when Garth bulks up a bit, he could well add flexibility to the squad for this to be a feasible option. Astbury was rated quite highly as a fwd in underage.tigerman said:I wouldn't mind seeing Astbury tried as a forward, but would that mean Rance plays on the gorillas?
Garth isn't big enough or strong enough to play on them, it might affect the balance of the backline.
Swapping Elton and Astbury might be a better fit, but i'm not sure if Elton is up to it.

Young Garth can have a look at trying out in Flossy's defensive role while Flossy is out or learning to play a bit of mid. Garth could even try a bit of forward, there's plenty of reports that he was an outstanding young forward before he got pushed back to a key defensive role at junior level.
Haaarrrgh, sheeeit. Not sure whether to be chuffed or look for an alternative motive. Me n Lambshanks have found common ground for once, wonders never cease. ;Dlamb22 said:I agree TM.

I didn't say do it, though I think he'd do as well as any of the other 2nd key forwards. He played footy for Corowa as a CHF and also played there for the Bushies.tigerlove said:Played back at the Bushrangers (2 years) and carved his name as a prospective backman in the TAC. Has spent all his time at Tigers playing back. Why throw him into an AFL game as a forward? Just don't do it.
100% played as a forward at Corowa MVT , also has defiantly played as a forward for the Bushies . Sorry should re word that he defiantly played 'some' footy as a key forward for the BushiesMurrayValleyTiger said:Sorry CC he hardly played forward at the Bushrangers! Very much a terrific defender who hardly got beaten one on one! I'm a huge fan but wasn't a forward there in two years! Maybe he was at Corowa!
