Pick 47 ~ Bradley Helbig

Brad has just been placed on the LTIL, meaning he cant play anywhere for 6 weeks. (it is a min. of 6 weeks on the LTIL isnt it?)

that takes him to rd 16, we will be lucky to see him play for the Tiges this year i think.

Is that so we can keep A Maric or Miller as upgraded rookies since Astbury and now Moore are back playing for Coburg?

I thought it was 8 weeks .

Possibly although I thought Macdonald was also on the LTIL and we can upgrade another rookie after round 11 anyway.

Had Brad at our Auskick on Sat. Was due to come off long term list after the bye i think and was hopeful of starting up in Coburg about then.

I thought he was already on the LTIL. This makes sense.

When i read the article again it's a bit ambiguous. I like Tigs had the feeling that Helbig was put on LTIL quite a while ago and I think the article may be actually referring to the reason why Addam maric is still able to play this week as an upgraded rookie. i.e Helbig is LTIL so Maric can play.

the article reads:

Addam Maric, who initially had replaced Moore on the Club’s primary list, will remain there, with the Tigers placing Brad Helbig (foot) on the long-term injury list.

this article from April when he did the injury says he is expected to go the LTIL:
http://www.richmondfc.com.au/tabid/6301/default.aspx?newsid=132193

but i cant find any reference to him being actually placed on the LTIL.

The way I read it, even though it is poorly written, Helbig has been on LTIL for a while. The reference to it now is simply to explain why Addam Maric can still play this week even though Moore is coming back to Coburg.
Anyway we are guessing really but if Swooper heard from him that he will play for Coburg soon then it seems right.

Shouldn't be a shock he did do an interview about his injury & he said that the specialist said he would be out for 3-4 months.

on the off-field board, RFCO confirmed that Helbig was placed on the LTIL yesterday and will be out for at least 8 weeks, meaning a rd 19 return at the earliest.

Get the young fella right regardless of the time frame, he's got a big future for the RFC.
I see him as a mid sized forward who can run through the midfield.
