Pick 12 discussion.

Or maybe a taste of what he might be able to do as he matures, Not bad for a 17 year old, Cocky will never be a bust he will become a very very good footballer and maybe just maybe a freak like Fyffe

Do we really want to miss out on another player with Massive upside - If i was incharge and Cockatoo is still on the board . I would call out his name without thinking twice
can always get your Vanilla shake later
Last division two player who was touted as the next superstar n went pick four struggled to get past a hundred games, sometimes vanilla milkshakes are superb

I wonder if by some chance De Goey were still on the table, and Weller/Duggan weren't, would we look at him? Surely couldn't dismiss him and take Ellis who's similar but less well performed. He'll be a very good player IMO - Fyfe like. I can only really see him going to either Collingwood or GC, maybe WCE.

Division two players are often maligned, this year will produce 3 quality players - Weller, Heeney & Cockatoo.

I certainly would take him ahead of Ellis, they shouldn't be in the same discussion.

I've watched a fair bit of De Goey in school footy the last couple of years. I was a bit iffy early on, but he's grown on me a fair bit. Great skills, good overhead, potential to still add to his frame. Moves well in traffic and is versatile. Probably not as pure a ballwinner at a junior level is his only big knock.

If GWS take Laverde, Pies will pounce. Won't drop below GC imo, particularly if Wright falls. I've heard Melbourne are mulling him over for pick 3 as well.

Good write up on Ellis by Twoomey, reckon he will be ours. I reckon we are into 3 being in order - Duggan, Weller then Ellis and big chance the first two will be gone by 12.

If we take Ellis I won't be surprised, it's very typical of FJ to recruit one-paced foot soldiers.

Give the kids a break there all condemned with the negetive trip you people write about them we should be encourging them we all have flaws but a kid is only as good as you tell em

Not to say anyone is right or wrong on the futures of the kids who are about to be drafted, however history will tell us we won't know for about 3 years if not more an one things for sure there careers won't be decided by what number there picked, thanks to Bully an co it's making this a bloody exciting draft an there's little doubt we will get some good footballers lets just hope a couple a stars

One paced foot soldiers as Bulli calls them are an important part of any club (provided they bring good disposal or inside game with them). IMO one paced foot soldiers will not get you into the top 4 from where you can challenge. We also need to have a few players who bring that something different (Martin for example is one) but we need a couple more. IMO we would be a much better side with someone of Cockatoo's uniqueness in the starting 22 then a player like Pettard or Newman. (I was a but reticient about naming Newman but his last years form was not that of the player I have admired over the time)

Tigers it is time to be bold

I think it will all work out.

If we get cockatoo and rookie Arnot, Polly will get a cracker.

To Bulli and others who study the kids I would like to endorse CC Tigers comments. It certainly has made this time of the year more interesting

Here here, have really enjoyed these threads about the upcommers!

thanks to those who have shared their knowledge!

yeah, agree or not, it's great to have avid junior watchers sharing their views. At least now I'll have some idea of some of the names being called out.
