Pick 12 discussion.

I've seen Petracca compared to Dusty as an u18s prospect, and I don't think he's anywhere near that. Kicking, endurance, size and his decision making all have question marks.

Not sure he'd even be top 10 in the 2013 draft order, let alone anywhere near number 1.

I heard many good things about Weller but I thought the Suns were into him.

Word is that he wants to move to Melbourne and live with Maverick, I don't think the Suns will take him.

I think his carnival has swayed opinion but Brayshaw is the one for me, we still don't know if Petracca is a mid/forward or forward/mid.

A regular customer in our shop is a mad Tiger supporter and he was saying this morning that Weller is not worth chasing with pick 12. I asked him why as I had heard a lot good about him. He said that he coached him in Tassie and that he is not worth pick 12. He has no inside club info by the way - he is just a supporter like the rest of us so maybe he has no clue either :)

I would not have a clue on who is good or not but whoever we take should be best available, not a reach like past years.

That's strange, he didn't say why? Was he implying a character flaw?

I reckon the Eagles are a big chance to take Duggan. If Weller goes to the Cats then it leaves us with more limited options... Imagine the outrage if we went for Ellis over Cockatoo :hihi

Quayle reckons we're in the mix for Cockatoo though, along with GC at pick 8, WC and Adelaide.

I reckon it could unfold like this:

1. Petracca
2. Brayshaw
3. McCartin
4. Pickett
5. De Goey
6. Wright
7. Lever
8. Laverde
9. Moore
10. Weller
11. Duggan
12. Cockatoo/Ahern/Ellis/Durdin

i was under the impression that weller left tassie at 13 so a bit early for his "coach" to make a call on him one would think

I don't think Laverde will drift that far, Collingwood are sure to grab him at 5 if available, De Goey being the back-up plan. West Coast are heavily into Cocky, they have met his famiy twice and have been in constant contact since the combine. If Duggan goes early I'm tipping Geelong but my guess is he goes to Richmond or North.

So then does Durdin come back into the frame ? Would take him wayyyyyyyy ahead of Corey Ellis.

"From twitter:

Brett Anderson has Gold Coast going for Weller then Cockatoo then Langford at 8 (if Pickett, DeGoey & Laverde are gone before their pick).

Callum Twomey has the Eagles tossing up between Duggan or Weller.

Sam Landsberger says the "Tiges, Eagles and Roos all like Liam Duggan".

Emma Quayle says West Coast, Richmond, Adelaide and maybe Gold Coast too in the mix for Nakia Cockatoo."

If I read this right that means GCS take Weller and West Coast take Duggan we are looking at Cocky?

Richmond #12 - Nakia Cockatoo

I bet every tiger supporter will jump up for joy, Everybody wants Cockatoo but just dont want to say it because they know deep down Francis wont select him

Please take Duggan West Coast & leave Cocky to Richmond.

Yeah you could switch Laverde and De Goey, the outcome is the same.

I'm not so sure WCE will take the plunge on Cocky. Seen it reported a few times that they're heavily into Duggan as well. Haven't heard anything about Geelong wanting him but who knows.

Cocky worries me from the perspective that it was mooted that some recruiters dont think he gets enough of the ball and that GF performance was a big surprise.

Its probably the same recruiters that hope Cocky gets overlooked and is still available for their pick

Or maybe a taste of what he might be able to do as he matures, Not bad for a 17 year old, Cocky will never be a bust he will become a very very good footballer and maybe just maybe a freak like Fyffe

Do we really want to miss out on another player with Massive upside - If i was incharge and Cockatoo is still on the board . I would call out his name without thinking twice
