My gut feeling is that he'll be in the 6-12 bracket, same as Pickett. I have Pickett marginally ahead of him at this stage but would not be disappointed with Laverde. We need pace & these 2 are just about top of the class for line breaking ability.
He does possess a little x-factor, Stevie J is closer to the mark IMO (splitting hairs I know). He's strong overhead without the explosive leap of Wingard but is extremely dangerous at ground level. He has quite of few tricks up the sleeve, dribble goals, running goals & good distance on his preferred right. He's also capable on his left so won't be caught out too often. Like Stevie J, he has a formidable side step, it's something that allows him to part the seas and buy some time. Whereas Chad has spent most of his time up forward this year, I see Laverde as a damaging midfielder in the long term. Much will come down to his aerobic capacity but I think in 2-3 seasons he'll be fit enough to mix it with the best.
