Pick 12 discussion.

I just read a little about Durdin. I'm hoping we don't grab him, as good as he may be.
His coach was saying he was best suited to the ruck, although wouldn't play here in the AFL, so would need to keep working to be a KPP at that level (which he was sure he could become).

I'm sure we could get a KPB given we let our rookie go, but surely it's more risky than a ruck turned FB, when we need mids?

Good god no KPP's especially not at pick 12.

We're still hoping Vickery "makes it" 6 years later.

While I am hoping for Ahern, as he looks to have good vision and disposal which will help with delivery into the forward line, I am not sure that he will still be available.

Have seen one phantom draft with us taking Conner Menadue.

Does anyone know any more about him then is on the AFL profile

Extremely quick, agile and damaging with his disposal, very scrawny though, will take 2-3 years to be AFL ready. I have him in the 15-30 range, he is likely to go the same way as Hartung, Hill & Smith, somewhere in the second round. Athletically he tested extremely well, seems to have a big tank to go with his speed, I have him marginally ahead of Garlett at this stage.

There is enough quality players in this years draft to enable us 2 very good quality players, Hope FJ and his team have done their homework well and select properly

would of been great if we could of traded down our #12 for trengove and #23 - Too bad about his foot

I was the same but I reckon he's a CHF / Ruck. Reminds me so much of Roughy & Ben Reid.

That'd line him up behind Vickery, Griffiths, McBean, doubt we'd be looking to go that one dimensional considering the current age bracket of those three.

Thanks to Bully an co :clap really looking forward to this draft with no idea who we will get at each pick, chosen not to watch any footage to keep the Xmas morning feel , however lovin the right ups on the lads, love to see an exciting aboriginal player at Punt rd

Still question marks around that crew. Durdin has been top 5 all year and all of a sudden is falling for no good reason.

Reckon McCartin might fall a bit too, we might see a name that is compelling at 12 and a pleasant surprise.

Really hoping the we get Duggan saw him a play a few times this year and he really excites me he has a lethal left foot his strong in the clearances and loves to tackle and seen in a in the latter part of the year he can go forward and kick goals he is the type of player we need right now. I honestly think that he will be become a guanine A grade player in the AFL, let’s not forget that he doesn’t turn 18 until the end of December, pleas Frances pick this guy I would be very disappointed if we pick up some like Corey Ellis over Liam.

Having some family still in Benalla, with my nephew having played with and against him, this kid was a star at junior footy, dominated the U17's and has been playing seniors, for Benalla for the last few years, and for the Bushrangers the last 2.
Was injured quite a bit last year, and also the 2nd half of this year, so we havn't seen him this year in the U18 championships.
Wouldn't surprise if Richmond have him very much in their minds for their first pick.
I also know that Francis and other recruiters for Richmond have visited Caleb Marchbank, and his family earlier this year, and he has told my nephew he'd be more than happy at Richmond next year.
Personally, I'm tipping him to put on a good bit of muscle and be the next David Mundy.

Seems to be this years Brodie Grundy.

It happens every year. One guy falls because it becomes fashionable. Everyone is too scared to ask "Why?".

So how many question marks would there be around kid who has been playing against other kids rather than against mature developed adults?
Sorry to sound like a smart arse SCOOP, but that's a fairly dense comment when relating the potential of a kid against current senior players. For two metre tall CHF / RUCK type players Ty at around 25 next season should just be peaking, Griff at 23 still has more development coming n Beanie at 21 is just starting out. Adding Durdin as another potential CHF / RUCK who is still realistically four or five years off is full of question marks and from my point of view way to list restrictive.
Two rucks in Eevan n .......Hamster, plus four CHF part time rucks all under 25 is top heavy. I'm also counting Elton as a hopeful developing defender / ruck or he'd make the imbalance even worse.

If he can kick like Cameron off both feet we'd want him.

His Youtube highlights are littered with kicking errors. And it's highlights!

What gives?

That clip is made up of televised champs matches this year which happened to be his worst. Check out his highlights video on the site that cannot be named.

Why would that go out into the public domain?

No way McCartin falls to us the kids a gun and with his work ethic he'll go 2 or 3 to Melb for sure. Grundy dropped because hes an out and out ruckman, if anybody drops it will be Wright.
