No it was Connors that's for sure because at the time I thought how smart are we compared to the rest of the comp knowing this - little did I know !Col.W.Kurtz said:I thought it was Foley, Connors slipped because he was, is, and will always be, a headcase

He seems to fit our need perfectly. A likely 200 gamer with good size, skills and a match turning streak (dare i say X?).
I did hear though that he has a rare genetic, degenerative condition that will see his fingers shorten to little nubs within years. I was talking to his mum the other day, who also pointed out that Ben has dicky heart valve that impedes is V-O Max potential severely. Its a ticking time bomb apparently. His dad also has the finger condition, which cut a promising surgical career short at about 22. He became a pretty renown butcher in Thornbury.

Harry said:my concern is we are recruiting flankers and trying to turn them into mids - ellis, vlastuin, lennon.
Ellis and Vlastuin have already proved they are more than adequate when playing as mids.Harry said:my concern is we are recruiting flankers and trying to turn them into mids - ellis, vlastuin, lennon.

bullus_hit said:As far as his test results are concerned, his endurance wasn't great, a lost cause. He will take some time, but time isnt on Ben's side. By the time he serves an apprenticeship on the flanks, his paddles will be unusable for kneading dough, let alone afl football. Even if finger prosthetics or stem cell stuff took a quantom leap and allowed Ben to occupy a back pocket in the reserves, his ticker could give at any moment ..... PASS
Vlastuin was a mid though. A very good one as a 17yo. Played HBF as an 18yo due partly to injury and partly to round out his game.Harry said:my concern is we are recruiting flankers and trying to turn them into mids - ellis, vlastuin, lennon.
