Pick 12 discussion.

His speed results at the combine were actually disappointing and he was in the bottom 20% for the 5, 10 and 20 mtr tests. His endurance tests were quite good. He was also above average with his jumping but not near elite.

What was his 20 metre sprint time Gus?

Have heard that Billings will go to the Dogs if available, that means Scharenberg may slide if not picked up by GWS or St Kilda. However I wouldn't discount either of those possibilities.
Billings won't be available for the Dogs. Saints will take him if Kelly goes to GWS which I was told he will.

Surely he wont slide to us.

He has gone from a sure top 3 pick to sliding out of the top 10. Who's cat has he killed?
Pies are the only ones who I think will take him before us. Maybe, maybe West Coast

Michael Aish, father, or is he an uncle always looked VFL standard by some margin, back in the day, and was heavily chased and signed but never came across from SA. Bad history for the Tiges. I'd hold a grudge and strike a line through the Aish name, homesickness could emerge and off home he goes. Is he worth the risk. Is he related.
This is why he's a risk and why he's sliding. THough at pick 12 my theory is in a weak draft take him and then if he wants to go home neither Adelaide or Port will have a pick much later than 12 in a stronger draft. Get our money back and then some. If we convince him to stay then we have a bargain.

That's my hunch also, who do you think doggies will pick up at 4?

KK I think is next on their list. If GWS swing a surprise at 2 then that stuffs everything. :hihi

If he slides to us and we pick him, he's a dud and we didn't do the research other teams did.

If we let him go past our pick then we've screwed up again.

Zzzzzzzz

same person whose cat Grundy killed, presumably

Lot of clubs will be regretting that one now...

Played amazing for a 1st year ruck with no pre season. I'm glad Vlas had the season he did or else that could of burned for a while.

Re: Looks like Pick 10

Aish a big no to me. Far too outside.

Sheed is my man.

I don't think he is on their radar. He should be but I think they are into Kelly, Scharenberg and then Bontempelli.

More outside than Gibbs.

That Gibbs is outside is a bit of a myth - it's just that Carlton play him in outside flanking roles. Only when they started playing him in the guts late in the season did he show that he had contested possession capability. Check out the Elimination final against us - he had something like 18-19 contested touches that day.

Whose that Dogs or GWS? Dogs definitely rate KK and he's expected to go at 4. Any idea who takes Aish?

That Bontempelli sprint time is terrible.

At 3.20 is he now a chance for 12 ? ;)

Maybe, if that's a true reflection of his pace then becoming a midfielder just got a whole lot more difficult.

Re: Looks like Pick 10

What was Joel Selwood's sprint time? I think it was either 3.10 or 3.20. I remember FJ talking about sprint times in terms of standard deviations from the mean, and at 3.20 you had to have serious talent (e.g. Greg Williams) to overcome the pace deficit.
