Pick 12 discussion.

Emma's phantom draft is out. She has Laverde going to the bombers at 17 and weller at 19. We take Ellis at 12.

Emma Quayle has WC taking Duggan @ 11. Brett Anderson has WC taking Laverde @ 11.

Think Richmond could still consider Duggan if available @ 12.

If it happens the way she predicts and we pass on Laverde & Weller and pick Ellis at 12. We have learnt nothing from our previous failures. :pullhair :brickwall
FFS FJ wake up ! We need PACE, skill & run and carry no more Plodders

Never said he did..... I said IF it happens that way
Sorry no breaks its not like hes a volunteer. Im sure he gets paid well for the job he does

Lets hope Bulllus-hit is right and we have just been spreading disinformation.

Must admit I'm pretty fearfull. This is classic Richmond. We've seen it so many times.

Emma claims he (Ellis) is possibly the best kick in the draft. Sounds good along with every coach he has had calling him "an absolute star" and a "rolls Royce"

Richmond draft. Nothing like it. Smell the fear. I know I can.

Let's just hope they aren't very accurate this year - in Anderson's one we take a slow midfielder and a key defender with our first two picks, which are far from our most pressing needs. Menadue goes at 34, surely we'd take him over Nielson.

Believe we will. There'd be no whispers of us taking Menadue because of how ridiculous it seems for him to get there.

um, other than Conca, who Emma said would have been a first rounder at Freo if we didn't pick him, when has FJ "reached" in the first round.

Listening to the wailing one here you'd think FJ has screwed every first round pick he's ever made when the opposite is true. There isn't a dud in any of his first rounders since he went fulltime.

Does Corey Ellis have his own thread yet ?

Maybe it's time to start welcoming him.

For those concerned about Ellis I found this clip this morning. This would have been from his underage year (2013) as he has a different jumper number and is a pretty impressive highlights package. A bit easier to see why he got the rolls royce nickname now.

He does not look slow and has that little burst similar to Cotch when trying to stick a tackle. Still he does have a running style a little like Conca :-X

I guess the real concern with drafting him is why did he not improve in 2014 on his very impressive 2013 season? Was it injury, confidence or is his development scope just not that high?

Can't be serious? I thought that and the AFL highlights package are some of the most uninspiring footage of a supposed 1st round pick I've seen so far.

He's a chip, chip, stop and prop, look backwards for options because I'm slow player in my opinion. I didn't see anything classy at all.

Surely Laverde and Weller are our preferences before him. I would even prefer Duggan or Garlett over Ellis. We have a need for speed.

Bullus is right. Surely not at 12.

If we use our powers of deduction and combine all the phantom drafts, Ellis is our 6th ranked player, presuming every journo is correct. Given that the rest of the competition doesn't have him in the top 16, it's either a case of FJ going completely bananas or we have been masterfully silent as to who we rate. One therefore has to ask the question, who at the club has made such a definitive statement? Are the journos simply regurgitating each others ideas? Why have we stated that we are hoping that 3-4 players drop out of the top 10?

Let's hope FJ can stutter:

Gill: Pick 12 Richmond

FJ: Player number 376439 Co-co-co-co-co-co-co-connor Blakely.
