Palestine and Israel

Im not pointing out one hospital. Hamas hide amongst their own people. Knowing, after their actions last month that a lot of them will suffer further.

Hamas are murderers in the name of Islam. They are not heroic defenders of a persecuted people. They want to eliminate all jews. They use their own people as shields. Happily. Because they believe the next step is to go to paradise.

What Israel does is also despicable. What they have done in Gaza is despicable. FWIW I cannot stand both sides. Religious ideology at its finest.

I deal with a number of people of the jewish faith here on a weekly basis. As a group they are the most selfish, self-indulgent people I know. They do think they are the chosen people.
Why do you still deal with them ?.

The West is losing any credibility it had left as the rest of the world witnesses its hypocrisy, double standards and blatant support for genocide accelerating the shift in the global order away from them.

Should we bomb their children too?
Ha ha. That's what I say, bomb the children.

You're a Hamas supporter so obviously condone child slaughter. Rape. Torture etc.

I can understand Israel wanting to wipe out Hamas. I don't support bombing hospitals. Killing children. Both sides are guilty of awful crimes.

Everyone should have the right to live peacefully. Extremists on both sides prevent that.

Hamas is an extremist, religious organisation that condones slaughter. Gleefully. Joyously. They should be condemned. They are cowards who sacrifice their own people. Happily. They believe they are going to paradise.

The Israeli response in bombing innocents is also reprehensible.

What's your solution?

I don't know - maybe go back to the Partition plan, 1947 ?

Of course that is a problem. And a massive part of it. The illegal settlements of the ultra orthodox jews have done nothing but fuel the divide.
Extreme religious belief is dangerous.
It's not just driving the illegal settlements. Make no mistake, they want to take Gaza back and push the palestinians into Egypt.
It is part of the promised land

Who gave the British the right to create a jewish national home on land where arab tribes lived? Arguing that the maps are incorrect and there was no Palestine because there was no private land ownership or an Arab Palestinian government is like saying there was no Aboriginal land before Cook arrived.

So Palestine existed?

And the land had only arab tribves living there?

How far should we go back for territory/ownership etc?

The first casualty of war is the truth, from both sides. Either side calling for the moral high ground is laughable.

Was very nearly Australia, there was a big push for a Jewish settlement to be created in North Western Australia somewhere around the Kimberley.
Curtain knocked back the idea because he wasnt convinced they would remain contained within there settlement.
They tested the waters again under Menzies but Israel had already been created so the idea came to a halt.

Anyway Hamas has achieved a victory winning the war as they know have every sympathetic woker on their side. This lot do care a rats about the dead Israelis who the Hamas slaughtered as Israel is an ally of the western world espescially US of A.
Absolute steaming *smile* Tigaman.

There is virtually noone who supports Hamas, certainly not on this site

They are and of course the same rules about war crimes should apply to both.

In the end the solution to this (if there is one) is to understand that this issue between Israel and the Palestinians did not start on October 7th. The attack by Hamas was disgusting but what Israel is now doing will not solve the basic problem, which is the rights of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

Draw the parallel to the provisional IRA. They also were disgusting in many of the things they did but they didn’t actually disappear until their reason for being was taken away.

They were also looking at territory in Uganda at one stage IIRC.

Saw an interview with a chick who did a survey of Palestinians just days before the Hamas attacks.

The survey found that only 40% of Palestinians had any support for Hamas, strong or somewhat, while the other 60% were either strongly or somewhat opposed to Hamas.
