Palestine and Israel

Sorry, I can’t talk about this anymore.

What israel is doing now is unconscionable. Why won’t someone stand up and say that what Hamas did was wrong but what Israel is doing in response is also wrong? Leaders all over the world have no spine, whether they be supporters of Palestine not condemning murder of innocent civilians and now western countries not denouncing what is close to genocide, at the very least it is a war crime.

I am offline on talking about this and the Voice. The world has turned to *smile* at the moment.

I'm trying to avoid as much as I can of this news and thread. Horrendous stuff to see.

Who's gonna stand up to the US? Albo? Yeah right. Western "leaders" do as they are told.

Nah. I's just the same as it's always been. Biggest problem is that everyone gets taught to believe that it's all pretty roses n chocolates, then they get a sniff of the underlying *smile* of humanity n can't handle the stench.

It’s come to a point that I can’t watch what is happening and I have to stop reading this thread for my well being and heart.

I’ve come to realise this.

We humans are the worst species on Earth.

No matter what you think about either side, the attached is sickening. How much of a coward do you need to be as a fully grown man to murder children? BTW that goes for the Hamas "soldiers" too over the weekend who cowardly murdered innocent children just trying to live their lives.

I said to one of my colleagues last week, when we were watching it all unfold in despair. That in actual fact, the past 70 odd years in relative terms, may well have been some of the more benign for human conflict.

Most of human history before the industrial era was pretty much perpetual conflict all over the place. Perhaps we’re going back to that default?

The difference is, for most of human history we only had spears, swords, axes and shields. In the most recent centuries we have discovered and refined industrial sized methods of carrying out this age old behaviour, with industrial sized destruction, pain and suffering to go with it.

Don't get me wrong, I see no winners in this scenario and both sides are bad guys (Israel and Hamas) and as you say innocents are caught in the crossfire, whether thats children or adults. Just a horrible scenario all round.

We have all been told by politicians and the media that retribution is fine, full scale invasion is fine.

When some nut case hears that this is what happens

American Ivy league uni's are losing US $500 Million from Jewish billionaires after not supporting Israel . Ken Griffin withdrew US $30 mill from Harvard after 34 student unions signed a letter blaming Israel with Harvard Dean not objecting to the letter.

Still been plenty of rumbles happening all over the world the last 70 years, just much smaller since we had them cuppla really crazy all in brawls. We've invented so many mind boggling type clubs n spears over this time that nearly everyone is too busy tippy toeing around the fringes n scrounging crumbs rather than going the full scale rumble for fear of upsetting the players with big boy toys.

Septics, Poms n Froggies fairly conflicted n hamstrung lately, not capable of much more than noise n rhetoric.
Putinontheritz n grandpa Xi happy to do a bit of struttin n flexin to see if anyone's got more than hollow noise.
Could be that nothing much evolves out of Israel n Hamas punching on, but if anyone else seriously jumps into the rumble then we might all need to bend over n kiss our arses goodbye as all hell could easily break loose.

All I can say is that I'm glad I'm *smile* old n have been fortunate enough to live in a relatively peaceful country all my life. Way, way to many grumpy nut jobs roaming around the planet these days.

Hamas leader Ismael Haniyeh operates out of Doha Qatar. He must have known Israel would " not turn the other cheek " to his belligerent incursion . Options for Israel was to wipe out Hamas from Gaza by force or complain to the United Nations. Israel chose the the first option & for Haniyeh his own people are now in a diabolical situation . So who is to blame ?.

Nothing is ever Israel’s fault. Not the blowing up of hospitals in Gaza, the illegal expansion of settlements, the ghetto of East Jerusalem, the minimising of rights of Arab Israeli citizens, the blockades of Gaza and the West Bank, the control and sometimes denial of water and power to the Palestinian Territories ….none of it is their fault. It’s all because of Hamas. Israel is perfect

Hamas is *smile* but when you start talking about blame and sides it is not a discussion that is that simple.

I woke up this morning and read on twitter about the hospital and wanted to throw up. This world is so *smile*

My Jewish grandmother would be turning in her grave at this criminality.
