You described yourself to me in private e-mail as a Druze Lebanese, not as a Druze Australian.
What are you Lebanese, Australian, both or neither?
(I have tried to treat you with respect but your credibility is starting to wear a little thin.)

So what has a Jew in Australia done to you to make you despise all Jews so much?

Re: Not Good News From Israel

i respect jews but just dont like the self hating ways of israel and the foundations the state was layed on.

is there a law saying i have to?

That's not what you have said previously.
You have openly attacked Jews and now retreat from those feelings.
You only seem to hold a hate when it has an advantage for you.

Sorry mate, but you had my respect, but now you've lost it.
Your credibilty, hates & likes, are up & down like a yoyo, when it suits you.

Your people the Druze I have great respect for.
But in my eyes you have failed them miserably.

Re: Not Good News From Israel

Chapter 5 - Zionism, 1850 - 1948
What led to the creation of the state of Israel.

In the late 17th & 18th centuries, there was a burst of Liberty, Justice & Democracy.
Previously, although people lived on the land, the land was owned by kings & the nobility.
After the great Revolutions, ordinary people took power, and therefore the connection to the land altered, and the land belonged to the people.
The people had to have a political stake in the land.

France was for the French people.
Britain was for the British people.
Germany for the Germans.
Italy for the Italians, etc, etc.
This was where Nationalism, with all its hatreds derived.

Although Napoleon was the first European ruler to restore full citizenship rights to Jewish people, Napoleon did not last, and so those full citizenship rights didn't last either.
These countries clearly made it known that Jews would not be considered full citizens, so therefore the idea was born amongst the Jews that they should have a country of their own.
But what country or land would that be?
What part of the world held a common place for all Jews amongst the world?
The land of Jewish ancestry - Israel.

After the expulsion of Jews from Spain, during the Inquisition, Jews had started trickling back into the cities & towns in and around Jerusalem.

To be continued.

Re: Not Good News From Israel

Rosy,

10s of 1,000s of miles away from Israel, on an unofficial AFL football website forum, yet a Jew is still confronted by anti-Semitism.

Although there is much in this thread that is offensive, it is important to me that it is kept whole, unedited, as a visible symbol of the hatred that Jews around the world have endured for generations.

Kindest regards & thanks.

Re: Not Good News From Israel

Rosy, I would like to keep the thread open to continue finishing the chapters that I have begun.

Re: Not Good News From Israel

It was not a PM, it was an e-mail.

If you wish to throw any more insults I can reprint the e-mail in full that discloses your real name & e-mail address.

I won't now, unless you vex me further.
You have waved goodbye, try to keep your word for once.

(Gee, now I know how Nicky Winmar must have felt.)

Re: Not Good News From Israel

The thread can stay open as long as the personal insults, no matter what race or heritage, are kept out of it.  Abuse and racism aren't acceptable on PRE.

This thread is an eye opener in many ways.  I can't begin to understand the history behind the races and the warfare but I find it very hard to believe Australians condone the murder of innocent children no matter what their heritage.  So sad.  I find the thought such prejudice exists in Australia really upsetting and as thus think I'd better become a silent reader rather than participate in this thread any more than is necessary.

its the same thing you obnoxious twat. IS THAT INSULTING ENOUGH FOR YOU? YOU ARE A WEAK SPINELESS LOWLIFE FOR POSTING A PERSONAL EMAIL HERE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?

i dare you to print my name and email. i will persue my legal rights relentlessly to ensure you pay for it.

DO IT. I DARE YOU.

Re: Not Good News From Israel

I think if someone is posing on the board as one thing, and preaching one thing......and then using PM's to insult people, as well as lie....then it's fair game I think.
I like to know I'm speaking with someone who is fair dinkum, not an imposter.

And the next person that unsults me on a PM, I'll be more than happy to post it on the board for all to see....as insulting someone on a PM is pretty low.

"What happens on the board, stays on the board"....let's not resort to PM's to insult people.

Like Rosy said....argue, debate, get your point of view across...but personal insults is just poor form.

I'd appreciate the e-mail not be posted.  I don't think you'd have a leg to stand on legally L&B.  I've had similar threats made to me and that's part of the reason I did repeat what I was ordered not to.  Whether to post the contents of an e-mail is up to the recipicant and should be judged on individual situations.  I don't agree that e-mails should never be made public.  Why should people get away with bullying behind the scenes if that's the case.

As far as revealing personal information if it was given in genuine trust I'd hope people would be morally opposed to revealing what was said.

Back to the topic of the thread and less of the personal warfare thanks. :)

Best to report that kind of think to the moderators. The same rules apply to PM's that do to posting on the forum and personal insults and abuse aren't acceptable.

No worries Rosy....

Everyone,
Can we get back to the thread topic now?

I didn't notice your name posted and you're correct I don't like it.  It's happened a few times though, as well as where I live courtesy of Jackstar.  I wasn't commenting on your personal details being published, I was commenting on your threats of legal action.  I don't think it's illegal and it wouldn't enter my head to take legal action against those who've made my details public.

If you don't want the details of your e-mail made public it's better not to dare someone post it. ;)

Back to the subject. Irrelevant and personally insulting posts will be deleted.
