NRL

I thought before the season started, with all the players the storm have lost, that they would have to take a few steps back, before they can then go foward again,

But I was also hoping, i might be wrong

but it looks I was'nt, they are looking like at best , a middle of the table side right now.

It is almost a strange experience , watching a Storm side that is struggling, i guess we have been spoilt.

We have Kiwi, its hard watching them lose.

The way the NRL is set up now and with the influence of foreign dollars in Europe, it is nighe on impossible for top NRL outfits to keep a roster together for more than 2-3 years tops now.

Finch will make a difference to the Storm however no side can cover the losses the Storm have endured - Crocker, Folau, King, Jeremy Smith and Cross have been absolute massive losses, not to mention ol man river Matty Geyer. Whites injury hasnt helped either.

The Storm having to take a backward step was always inevitable, the loss of Crocker, Smith and Folau has crippled them somewhat, as Crock and Smith are massive defensively and well Izzy is just the most potent weapon in the game.

Well summed up Craig

I see the Storm have embarked on a program to give kids who missed out in the AFL draft a go at switching codes.First kid ironically is former Tiger Andy Goodwin,s son.
Wonder if David Bourke,s son will get a look in? ;D :hihi :hihi :hihi :hihi

The Fitzgerald era at Parramatta likely to end soon after weekend board elections saw his powerbase decimated. Doubtless a good thing for the Eels but the Tiger in me hopes they can continue to nudge,if not well surpass the RFC as chronic underachievers of the last 3 decades...

Good result for Parra i reckon, Cant stand Fitzgerald and Melbournephobic myopia.

Parramatta need a culture change and a new direction, they have top juniors and now hve a coach in Anderson who wont stand for BS in his attempt to redress the fortunes of the club.

Fitzgerald has been there too long, there will be plenty happy to see him go.

Good win by the Storm tonight beating Manly 22-8,Manly's season looking doomed with a trip to Brisbane next week.

Broncos should put a nail or two in the Sea Eagles 09 campaign next week with a bit of luck.

Blasted Eels stuff me again in the tips i was gonna pick em two but thought the Cowboys with Bowen, JT and Payne would be too clever.

Geez the Cowboys are a basket case, i reckon the discontent within the side last season hasnt gone away.

Titans got up for me so 2-3 so far.
