NRL

I went to the storm game,

They were rubbish, they looked flat,

and , we are only 4 rounds in,

and there is'nt an unbeaten team,

Broncos were looking to be the form side, and they got rolled,

So the comp at this early stage, is very even, and very unpredictable.

It may take quite a few weeks before we can work out who the real contenders are.

Manly aren't the certainties I thought they'd be but they do get Stewart back next week.Very even comp so far & your right Kiwi we will need a few weeks before we know who are the real contenders.

Sadly, like the RFC,I reckon the NRL Tigers will play them back into form next week....Perfect round to date, 0 / 7 . On the home team tonight but not fussed if NQ prevail to cement my trend...

Raiders had a win and helped return some sense of respectability to my tipping.

Anyone who tipped 8 winners this week knows nothing bout League so no one can doubt your Knowldge Dear Jubester.

I wish you were right Craig but I think they will bounce back. :'(

They will come good eventually maybe turn it up this week but i dont think they will win the comp mate.

No ones gone back to back since the Broncos.

Gonna be a wide open year i reckon.

Im on the Warriors into Geelong paying $45.

Im gathering he wants out cos his place in the side hasnt been guaranteed by Anderson.

Same reason he left Roosters to go to Parramatta more cash and guaranteed game.

Sheesh looks like some of these blokes think they dont have to perform to earn a game anymore.

Hes always been a sook.

Good riddance -

Geez i hope the Storm dont touch him.

I will LMAO if the Eels lose Cayless and Hindmarsh there goes there experienced leaders with a poultice of Rep footy behind em.

I reckon they have to get rid of Fitzgerald .... talk about a club of underachievers past 20 years.

Brett Finch breaks his silence

Parramatta halfback Brett Finch has broken his silence to reveal he was virtually shoved out the door by coach Daniel Anderson.
Finch has told Buzzwords: “Daniel has mentioned to me a few times that he thought I may not be the right person to take the club forward in the halfback position.

“He suggested I look at England. It’s important for everyone to understand this was the club’s agenda and not mine and, after much thought, it made sense for both parties that we try and sort something out and move on.
“My manager approached the club yesterday afternoon to discuss the issue and here we are now.’’
An inaccurate report on the Sydney Morning Herald’s website suggests Finch is heading to England.
But the playmaker has set the record straight in Buzzwords by revealing he has no offers from overseas and would prefer to stay in the NRL.
“I have no plans and neither myself or my manager have spoken to any clubs – here or in England - but it’s possible I may have played my last game for the Eels. No termination agreement of any kind has been reached,’’ he said.
“I am not playing this weekend because of a shoulder injury and for no other reason than that. I was to have had a needle today to try and ensure I could get on the paddock but the club suggested there was no need for me to follow that avenue.
“It’s disappointing because we need a win. I love playing for the club and the supporters have been fantastic since I arrived here and I certainly wish the boys well against the Dragons on Friday night.
“I’m not bitter about it because the club made the decision. I’m ok with it all. It was the club’s decision to instigate the process and I accept Daniel’s doing his best to build a successful team.’’
More details of the Parramatta crisis and Brett Finch’s full interview will be revealed in The Daily Telegraph tomorrow and for the next hour I’m happy to take questions from Eels fans on a potential player revolt threatening to tear the club apart.

Dumped Brett Finch to stay in NRL

Exclusive by Andrew Webster | April 08, 2009 09:52am

BRETT Finch could be playing with another NRL club within a fortnight after seeking a shock release from Parramatta last night.

Contrary to reports elsewhere, the livewire halfback will not accept a lucrative deal with a UK Super League club and hopes to play the rest of the season with another club in Australia.

While the Eels have not confirmed to Finch’s management that they will release him, it is understood Penrith and St George are already circling for his signature.

The Daily Telegraph has also been told a fallout with coach Daniel Anderson is at the root of Finch’s stunning decision to want a release.

It is believed that the final staw came when Finch was switched to hooker with 20 minutes to go in the Eels game against the Roosters last Friday night. Finch reportedly blew up on the field when he was give the orders.

In what has turned out to be good news for the NRL itself, the Titans and Nathan Friend, common sense has prevailed with Friend being re signed by the Titans for 2 more years.

His form has been outstanding since his blow up with the club last season and the Titans wouldve been negligent to let him go to another club.

In Prince, Rogers, Campbell, Zillman and Friend the Titans have a good bunch of play makers and will only get better in the coming seasons, not to mention guns in Laffranchi , Harrison and the wonderful player and leader that is Bull Bailey.

Have a bit of a soft spot for the Titans i must admit.

Good to see common sense prevail.

The titan treatment of Friend has been disgraceful, thankfully he's re-signed now.

Brett Finch is seeking a release from his contract with Parramatta with immediate effect.
Finch now released unconditionally.Daniel Anderson apparently has more players on his blacklist.Could be messy times ahead for the Eels.

Finch is a sook always has been, even voted biggest whinger by his peers in players poll.

Eels better off without the likes of him no doubt.

The inmates have run the assylum at Parramatta past few years, Hagan was too soft.

Anderson is a bit of a hard arse and probably the exact bloke the Eels need to turn the joint around.

Jason Taylor shouldve been signed by em when they had the chance.

Cayless Burt and Hindmarsh only real experienced players left id reckon and all pivotal players am sure they will all stay.

Your right about Finch Craig but he could have stayed at Parra & collected big bucks playing reserve grade but instead he will go somewhere else for alot less

The Raiders knocking of Sharkies tonight , leaves Craigybabes 3 from 3 after i tipped Broncs and Dragons.

Thats better start following last 2 weeks efforts. ;D

Guess what yep you guessed it right im sure.

Another NRL player poised to get the arse for being a *smile* and getting done for drink driving after smashing his car yesterday.

What makes it better is this bloke was breaking a club curfew which bans players from hitting the *smile* when injured ......................... then goes and drink drives and smashes up his car.

Trevor Thurling from the Canberra Raiders take a bow you are this weeks NRL leading embarrassment and a grade imbecile

Fair dinkum another rocket scientist , sad thing is about this is that the kid can play and has played a big part in Raiders resurgence past 18 months.

When will these dickheads in the NRL just get a clue FFS.
