Sure has, would think Broncos would be quite happy with this decision.
End of an era. Shades of Sheeds.

Bennett is off to coach NZ. Wonder if Sheedy will coach Ireland?

News just in Wayne Bennett has told the Broncos he will not coach them beyond this season. If I was Graham Murray I'd be very nervous as I would be surprised if Bennett isn't coaching the Cowboys in 2009.

Wouldnt be surprised to see a straight swap with Neil Henry at the Raiders at seasons end. Craig Bellamy is target number one no mistake about for the Broncs.

The Brisbane Broncos domination of QRL is very fast eroding.

Darren Lockyer apparantly has a get out clause in his contract should Bennet go.

Bennets going but in all seriousness Lockyer club icon and champ he is surely will see out his days at Red Hill for mine.

Don't be surprised Craig if Lockyer heads to Super League for some massive dollars.

Club denies any player has get out clause. Feel sorry for some of the new players but it was time for Bennett to go, just like with Sheedy.

The best candidate for Broncos coach is Mal Meninga but the big bugger is too smart to be caught up in coaching a club side week in, week out. Does a great job for QLD in State of Origin, heading up the coaching team there.

Will be interesting to see where Bennett goes to. I'm not up with the latest re his role with NZ leading up to next World Cup.......... anyone know if that has been finalised yet?

Apparently the Bulldogs are keen on him. They are never short of a quid ;)

Would love him at St George Illawarra. Not just for coaching but also his ability to attract and retain quality players. Then again he might be like Sheedy........ ready for the retirement paddock as a club coach.

Interesting times ahead.

Certainly has there Meldy.

Would be surreal to me if Locky left ... i dont think he will until his contracts up and even then he may not.

Lewis, Lockyer, Langer, Tallis, Civoniceva, Webcke, Thorn, Walters, Lazarus theres always been the big names when Locky goes it will be the turning point in Queensland League with the balance of power no longer with the Brisbane Broncos, and a roster full of stars.

The landscape has changed in Qld now.

Interesting article

Haven't heard much about Darren Smith, but he could be a darkhorse. First year of coaching at Easts this year, coming off a while as assistant at Ipswich. Easts have an affiliation with the horse for the next few years and Smith still has strong links with the horse.

World club champs - What a waste of time this is and also an absolute joke.

All infavor of Superleague teams and Aussie sides always half strength and underdone as coming out from off season

Joke and an absolute waste of effort.

Spot on Craig, but for some reason the same format remains.

Steve Kearney to coach Kiwis, with Wayne Bennett expected to assume a senior coaching position and guide Kearney through his first major coaching assignment.
