Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

really hoping he continues to play as a key defender, no he won’t be Rance, however he has the same freak athleticism and his got plenty of ticker in the air and on the ground as well. First of all he has to learn to just stop his opponent get the ball, 2nd stage he can ad the run off and attack to the game, no he won’t be Rance come September, however with a combination of beatings and wins he should be a much improved player in an area we need .

Though Cameron is a bit of flighty sook , however on his day his brilliant , his such a good athlete with very good skills , I noticed the time Astbury and Garthwaite were on him he just blew them away on the lead, however when Balta went on to him he played positively and played in front, it was just very good football that had Balta beat and that’s always going to happen.
Summed up my view from the game Agood ground to watch IMO. Given the space allowed Tomlinson and Cameron Garth and Astbury were always in trouble. Balta competed in his ruck spells and was in my opinion a good move switching him on to Cameron. He caught him napping a few times but at least he had closing speed. A big problem for Dimma you can't hide both garth and ASstbury in a backline against good sides, Balta worth a try persevering with but who pinch hits for Nak. Maybe trying Moore down back in the VFL worth a try at least he has leg speed.

Needs to get some more senior games under the belt. Had a good hard crack at it against GeeWhizz n was just half an ounce off being nearly good a few times, handful of senior games in a row needed just so he can find the tempo n rhythm of games.

Yeah, he's trying extremely hard but it's not quite working for him at present, a little bit like Bolton. I have faith that he's going to be good.

A bit if a PinBall at the moment Back/Forward/Ruck, hasn't been allowed to settle anywhere yet.

Is making less mistakes than a young Alex.

Very bullish on his prospects.

Looking like a player. In 100 games he will be regular and most importantly a major contributor

A positive post.

Given Rance is now out for the season and now 30, we have a great opportunity to groom a successor this year despite the pain.

It will be a baptism of fire but Noah should play Rance's position for the next 10 games and if he is acquitting himself well the full season. It will be great development and will start to iron out some of his deficiencies.

and lets not forget Rance at around 70 games was not really anything of note and as Dimma had said would have happily traded him for 5 magic beans! Noah is 19, lots of good signs but a hell of a lot of development to come (we hope)

Was pretty awful last week in trying circumstances.

Good learnings for him. Invaluable investments in this bloke at the moment.

He's had a tough time in the seniors so far, but has often seemed like he's almost done some good things but for various reasons just not quite got there. Once it starts to click he could be very valuable for us....agree with other, we need to persist with him. He showed some amazing athletic ability, smarts and skill in JLT, so hopefully it will come sooner or later for him (and us).

Hope he plays as many games as his fitness permits. Has much a potential that seems to have a lot of people salivating.

Yep. Funny thing is there were a couple of moments where he just couldn't quite get things to work out that could have been quite handy for us. Hoping he gets a few more games under the belt n that a few things work out for him before he gets eased back to the magoos for a bit of a breather n reset. Still very much a work in progress young Balta.

I think the match committee needs to super glue Notorius on the 2019 whiteboard.

he gives us so much flexibility structurally.

Yep. I want him in the 1sts for the rest of the season.

Love him. Got a big dose of the early-career Rancey, actually total career Rancey, high risk on the edge approach, fine by me.

That intercept, run, 2 bounces and goal assist was fantastic.

The composure to drag 3 defenders to him and then hit the 15-20m handball was sublime. Took all 3 immediately out of the game.
