Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

I reckon they've sent him back to the 2s to play him in defence rather than throw him in defence in the AFL after playing forward all pre season. Not a bad plan actually

In Dimma's interview yesterday he alluded to this at one point without actually mentioning Balta.

Yep, I saw that and that confirmed my thinking. I'd be amazed if he wasn't lining up in defence in the VFL game this arvo. We are not focused on winning tonight, we are focused on setting ourselves up for the rest of the year. I don't have a problem with this either.

What he say? I can't tell you who but there's a guy who backed up Nanks in the ruck last week but due to Rance injury we are sending him back to VFL to hone his defensive skills in the backline?

this makes some sense, but caesar reported that balta trained as a forward earlier this week....

Im disappointed that Balta is not playing tonight, Think he has the ability to change games and create the mismatch

looks like we are going all out speed and run and see this as the pies weakness

Something along the lines of "we might send some talls back to defense in the VFL" in response to questions about who would replace Rance. Don't quote me, listen to the audio yourself. Anyway, it seems that this is Dimma's plan so hopefully it comes off.

Not sure why we need him back. Garth will do that role, the way we played him in round 1 was ideal even though he was quiet.
