Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

Even his youthful errors were not youthful errors.

that tackle on that kid in front of goal - the kid dropped the ball cold.

Must play every game this year, including the GF

Nank is in career best, and I don't think its a coincidence Notorius (and big tom) is riding shotgun

Yeah that was a garbage decision. Balta slayed that Ranga with a magnificent tackle and dropped the ball stone cold. *smile*ing umpires

But Balta is going very nicely. Really hope he stays in the team. He’s giving Nank a real chop out as well.

Whenever Balts makes a blue he rushes in to correct it. There was a fumble in the centre square and he charged after it to lay the tackle.
Such quick reflexes and movement.
Its great to see a big fella so quick and making repeat efforts

Would make a great rushing back in NFL too

That intercept was rance like. Took off before the player decided to pass to his team mate.

Has to stay in the team. A chop out for Nank and has versatility

The extra dimension he brings around the ball and the athleticism is a real wildcard. Could do anything !

He got robbed on the holding the man decision.
Crazy decision.
The whole night was frustrating, and then delightful.

Was incorrect disposal before the holding the man. Need to reward the tackler

I think hes as good of a resting Ruck that we will get. Just needs to make a contest where ever he is, which is what we are getting. Anything extra he does is a bonus. That glorious intercept being 1.

No prior

Umpire made the correct call.

Balta needs to adjust or it’ll keep happening

No prior is when a player is tackled and can't dispose of it and the ball is held in.
This was incorrect disposal as he took possession, was tackled and dropped the ball. A free every day of the week.

Just watched the highlights, and I must have been getting a beer when Notorius did the steal, 2 bounce run, handball to Caddy GOAL in the 1st.

*smile* hell. Not the reflex and movement you normally associate with 195/100 blokes.

Picking the most exciting tiger cub at the moment is like trying to pick the biggest *smile* in the Liberal cabinet.

How did you miss that Easy? It was play of the week.
The intercept showed terrific instincts.
The draw and long handball was pure smarts.
The Balt has a footy brain

Yep, don't care aboit the knocked out in the tackle crap either. He had possession and did not handball or kick it. How is it not a free kick like any other tackle? They just make *smile* up, that's why.

I believe if someone has no prior, then as long as they don’t swing and miss with their foot, they’re allowed to drop it/accidentally let it get “knocked out in the tackle”.

A lot of players deliberately drop the ball if they have no prior.

Can’t hold on if they do

Broad got pinged in the 2nd qtr for dropping the ball in a very similar incident to the one against Noah

dusty got one of those free kicks in the GF but even then I disagree with the decisions going against the tackler. He has committed to the tackle and cannot stop mid tackle. And the guy just dropped the ball as soon as he felt the tackle.

Yeah it’s a dumb rule, but Balta and Sydney need to learn to work around it (and they will). Cost us 2 goals in the last quarter
