Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

Gee, dropping Balta was inspired ::)

DS

Did we want to make sure Noah couldn't hurt any of those nice boys of Nathan Buckley's team from just up the road? Gee the midgets sure scared them though!

Bring him in. We won’t won the flag.
We will be the next doggies. Senior/premiership players by the end of the year will he running around for the 2’s.
Then some will leave and the cycle will continue. Hopefully not for another 37 years

Not sure why we need him back. Garth will do that role, the way we played him in round 1 was ideal even though he was quiet.

The club think he's a Rance clone. They can slog him back there with minimal adjustments. I couldn't give a *smile* if we lost tonight, I like how we are building a plan for the rest of the year

Damien Hardwick when pressed for the answer to the Rance dilema suggested Balta is the closest we have to a physical Rance clone. He then pondered whether that means we need to drop him back to the reserves to see how he goes in a defensive role. I can only guess this is exactly what's happened.

Balta finds himself as one of the most important players on our list.

I have no doubt we are a top 4 side even without rance.

Dont forget we were top 1 without Tom Lynch.

But if we are gonna win this *smile*,

One of Balta or Garth will need to play 20 games

Surely we play 'em?

The Mav hand has to be folded and 5 new cards dealt.

Not much point having him in the twos now, get games into him.
I personally think the same craig as I’ve been a fan of him as backman all along, not to say he can’t play elsewhere, however can understand Dimma an co’s educating of Balta under Flys tutelage in the magoos for a period of time, no doubt there’s a few little basics they’d like him to work on before been thrown up against, Cameron, Dixon( probably won’t play) and Buddy over the next few weeks

I think as supporters we panic to quick after a loss

the truth ....................tenacious

by the way, why was he dropped?

My guess is to learn about playing full back (but that's based entirely on getting to the VFL game partway thru the 3rd qtr and seeing him playing there)

Was disappointed to see him dropped but if a part of a longer term plan happy with it. Needs to play at least 15 games this year. Get him to 50 games quickly will dominate games in the future

Hoping he follows a similar path to Jack Higgins last year in playing rd 1 then coming back in rd 3 and staying for the rest of the year.

Noah along with Chai Bolton were most impressive in last years vfl team and I thought most likely to succeed this year.
Lots of openings available now. My guess is that if we are to make top 4 these two will have to show that they are in our best 22.

The week after the debut is often a major letdown.
Emotionally. Physical exhaustion. Sore body. My guess is he was rested

Happy for him just to be in the 22, however really hoping he continues to play as a key defender, no he won’t be Rance, however he has the same freak athleticism and his got plenty of ticker in the air and on the ground as well. First of all he has to learn to just stop his opponent get the ball, 2nd stage he can ad the run off and attack to the game, no he won’t be Rance come September, however with a combination of beatings and wins he should be a much improved player in an area we need .

Though Cameron is a bit of flighty sook , however on his day his brilliant , his such a good athlete with very good skills , I noticed the time Astbury and Garthwaite were on him he just blew them away on the lead, however when Balta went on to him he played positively and played in front, it was just very good football that had Balta beat and that’s always going to happen.

Cameron had 12 goals in 6 games against us coming into yesterday, no Rance and he kicks 7 that could have easily been 10, I think that says so much.

No Rance no Grimes, Cameron was rearing to go yesterday. You could see it in his eyes.

I am astonished and infuriated i didnt back cameron for most goals of the round ( how many did hipwood end up with?).

It was so obvious

Needs to get some more senior games under the belt. Had a good hard crack at it against GeeWhizz n was just half an ounce off being nearly good a few times, handful of senior games in a row needed just so he can find the tempo n rhythm of games.
