Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

Has got real x factor, when coming out of the centre would like to see him kick the ball long.

Love him. Got a big dose of the early-career Rancey, actually total career Rancey, high risk on the edge approach, fine by me.

I actually think he is tracking better than Rance in his first year - attacks the ball like Rance but seems more composed.

Love all our first year players this year -Balta, Ross, Stack have made us stronger - like Higgins did last year. Add Bolton and we have that youth led passion - love it

Even his youthful errors were not youthful errors.

that tackle on that kid in front of goal - the kid dropped the ball cold.

Must play every game this year, including the GF

Nank is in career best, and I don't think its a coincidence Notorius (and big tom) is riding shotgun

That’s where the umpires have no feel for the game. As a player, everyone knows that when you lay an awesome tackle and the opposition drop the ball cold, like a sack of Dutch Creams, you automatically hold on a little longer than necessary to highlight to the umpire the clear free. To not award the free in the first place but then penalise him for holding on too long shows why these Hymies will never be Fearless Flies

Umps have been letting that go all season. Not sure why they chose to pick this one out. Fact is opponent had the ball, he was tackled, it fell out of his arms and the tackle was completed. Play on at the very least.

I thought we got the least shafted at Adelaide Oval ever,

and to be fair, in real time, I went '*smile*, thats a free every day'

but it was dropping the ball on replay.

I thought the double goal to Lynchy was the absolute zenith of quality umpiring ;D

A very unique beast, has some of the finest attributes you could want as a footballer

He is has the biggest upside of any of the kids we have. The more game time he gets the better he will become.
He just needs to learn the way we play and he will be a Faster Stronger version of caddy.

There was two of those tackles laid on Pordadalayde players taking the ball on the burst n " losing " it when tackled. Both payed as holding the man, not in possession yet every time we have a player does exactly the same it's free kick against incorrect *smile* disposal.

Game should go back to one maggot instead of three, he'll miss just as much but at least there's half a chance the bastard will be consistent in his decision making.

The other was Stack in the last. Should have been a free to stack. I lost it at that stage.

It’s the reason they brought the rule in in the first place, because KB was milking holding the man for all it was worth.

If you have ever watched a cat pounce on its prey, the impact of its strike knocks the wind out of its prey and puts it into shock.

Balta's tackles do the same to the opposition hence the ball's flying out of the hands of the player.

Balta need's to pin the ball as well if possible to prevent the umpire from giving the opposition player a sympathy free kick.

nice work y&b

Balta and Stack both hit hard and fast, causing the oppo to drop the ball wibout prior, giving away a free kick. Stupid rule, but that’s the rule and it cost us 2 goals in the last quarter.

They just need to avoid spinning them to the ground without prior.

Immediate impact tackles are straight line tackles only and you don’t hold on.
