Don't think anyone is saying move him there full time.

That doesn't preclude Hardwick from giving him a taste in there and see where it leads from there.

Who knows, the coach may even give himself a couple of options (Hi Jack) to insert when the opposition start toweling us up from the centre square in Elimination Finals.

Flexibility is a great idea. But unless the coach is brave enough to make some moves mid game, it won’t matter.

But agree with the principal. Give Vlaustin a go.

With Flossy being so good overhead, he could be a good swingman and go forward like the Eagles used Adam Hunter. I remember in one of his first games he kicked 3 goals against the Eagles.

Come on Daisy I know you want Miles to play at half back and Cotch to play FF.

Let's keep the status quo when we are getting steam-rolled by bigger midfields in knock-out finals then?

Those two boys you named need help, not abandoned.

Obviously.
The club has tried to address this by bringing in Moore and Townsend. Whether it works remains to be seen but it will be given a go.
If it doesn't then no doubt other options will be looked at.

Solidarity in the backline my friend, if last year is anything to go by, only thing that will stop us is kryptonite.
"Mcheyzues"?? Wasn't he in Die Hard III??

I think it was Die Hard II...

With the set-up you have put to 'paper', I would much prefer to see Yarran holding down a back spot ahead of Batch, and with Grimes, Rance and Chapstic down there, really only need batch if the opp' puts an 'a bit larger than mid but not a true big' down forward to stretch us.

K3 Batch was pantsed because he was too small in the EF so putting Yarran in would make the problem worse.

Replace Houli with Yarran would make more sense.

I think it was also that he was too slow, along with a lack of height to match right up on Waite. If the opp whacks a tall back, you need to match up, but all things being equal, I would prefer Yarran to Batch as he gives speed and skill rocketing out of the back 50.

Hodge was averaging 28 touches a game by year 4. Big leap for Nick to make.

He'll do it Kev. Perhaps not those numbers but the same influence.

Interestingly that was his highest average disposal year, his 4th. From that point on for the next 4 years he averaged 22 to 23.
