Nick Vlastuin

Just didn't do enough last night, nor did Ellis, but they are both young and hopefully can only improve.

Vlastuin was Ok early on and then, like many of his mates, drifted out of the game.
He will be a long-term player for the Tigers and very much a favourite over the journey.

Head and shoulders above many because he carries it forward and kicks direct more than not - ripper

Very composed for a second year player. Good game but did go missing for a large part of the game.

Young tigger went ok, he's going to be a ripper this kid.
I sat behind him on the jetplane coming home this morning, the poor bugger was seated next to 2 Suns supporters.

Probably safer than sitting next to some cranky tiger ferals. Would have thought they'd stick the players in a block of seats together rather than just in mixed general cargo.

They were in seating groups, training staff, physio guys, players, just happened Tigger was odd man out.

What was the mood like?

It was a bit quiet until Rance lathered the aisle with hand moisturizer from the business-class toilet and proceeded to gut slide through economy.

That'd be right. The least you can say about Rancey is that he's never just a passenger.

Having seen the entire group at The Sofitel and than again at the departure gate and on the plane journey back, I have these 'observations'.
Of the entire playing group only Chris Newman went over to shake Terry Wallace's hand, Terry was on the same flight.
Cameron Ling and Mick Malloy also on the same flight, kept to themselves.
Something Ben Griffiths had to show was causing considerable interest as a gathering hovered over him for quite awhile.
Matty Richardson was seated with the players and looked in great condition, he could line up within a few weeks.
Didnt see Dimma or Chocco on the flight, yet the other coaches were there.
Generally the guys looked as if the defeat had not hurt too much, they took it on the chin so to speak.

Thanks for this. Much appreciated.

Would have Richo back in a wheelchair if I had to. Might just straighten up his kicking.

Give this bloke the 17. Embodies everything you want in Jack Dyer's jumper.

Don't agree with giving him the captaincy at this stage. Agree with him being everything you want in a Tiger jumper. Love him. He could be anything. Hope he's voted into the leadership group next year to help groom him for his destiny.

Edit...whoops misunderstood the post. Forgot the Cotch rule in regard to captaincy numbers. As for Vlas wearing the #17 I'm happy for him to make create history with his own number.

I agree 100% that you disagree! Trengrove @ Melbourne is a perfect example of why not to, the burden of captaincy destroyed him.
