Nick Vlastuin

Is he currently the most underrated player on our list? The composure this kid shows for someone who has played less than 30 games is astonishing. He is a one touch footballer with exquisite skills.

I agree 100% that you disagree! Trengrove @ Melbourne is a perfect example of why not to, the burden of captaincy destroyed him.
I'm definitely not saying Flossy should be captain, Corny. Give him a few years.

Edit...whoops misunderstood the post. Forgot the Cotch rule in regard to captaincy numbers. As for Vlas wearing the #17 I'm happy for him to make create history with his own number.
And if that's what he wants, I'm cool with it. But I like the tradition of passing on great players' numbers.

Excellent hardness, awareness, skills and decision-making for one so young.

Sometimes I feel that on PRE players threads are like golf. The lower the number the better the person/player.

I can see the Bin Man agreeing with that ;D

Really like him across half back, but reckon he would be perfect to having run through the middle as well. When I spoke to him in wang he said he will play half back all year, wouldn't mind Lids doing a bit back there an Vlaustin push into some centre bounces, going to be a great extractor IMHO ....complete footballer

Don't think Flossy was fully recovered from his concussion from last week & should not have played last night.

He is one of my favorite players but seemed to make some uncharacteristic errors and strange decisions.

Hope he is OK next week.

Can someone please tell me why Flossy hasn't had one stint in the midfield this year?

He was thrown in their numerous times last year with success and this was as a first year player.

Thought the same. definitely not right last night.

Also why is Morris playing with one smashed shoulder?

desperate times.

He did look a little unsure with ball in hand, maybe the conditions as well? 6 day turn around for a concussion does seem rather quick in this current climate...

Agree regarding the midfield stint. He's a big body and usually a pretty good kick, which in our midfield is as rare as hen's teeth.

Matt Thomas is taking that rotation. Delays Flossys rate of improvement.

Amatuerish that this 2nd yr player was played when he was still suffering th effects of concusion

Hardwick must have been smoking bongs all summer with some of the decisions he has made this season. Why are we playing injured and concussed players??

He has lost the plot.

Yep. Must be that 'learn from defence' rule again.

And what a brilliant rule it is. Good to see Lennon was subjected to it in VFL, while we have the likes of Grigg and Edwards prancing about our midfield.
