We haven't had much luck holding on to number 4's in recent times. Geoff Raines walked, Craig Lambert and now Martin. It's becoming a bit of a curse.
Offer McGaune the upgrade

I say no to 17. Vlastuin was a Pies supporter growing up. Jack hated Collingwood. Such an act is blasphemous and can carry the same penalty as high treason.

When Jack looked like being overlooked by Richmond as a 17yo, he made it known he was going to sign with the Pies.
Richmond did an about face, signed him and the rest is history.
There's some Martin similarities here.

He also applied for a clearance to Yarraville in 1940 and was refused and stayed for much less money.

Not really - Jack wasn't holding out for more money. Jack wanted Richmond to notice him, because he wanted to play for the tiges. They hadn't even been to look at him, despite him playing in their backyard for the Richmond Hill mob, prior to him asking for a clearance. Once they went & had a look they wanted him alright.

Looks as if Vlossy's body is catching up to his head. Look out AFL.

Looking at the training pics that's the first thing that struck me. One pick with him and Dustin Martin had me doing a double take. For a sec i thought Roughead had grate crashed our training session. He almost made Dusty look small.

Surprised there's been no love for Flossy for months n months, has everyone forgotten we have him? Thought he put in some decent efforts in a very ordinary side last night, plenty of the newbies have had their threads brought up n been discussed. All the usual suspects have been thoroughly battered around the buccanears yet Flossy seems to have been completely by passed in conversations.
Surely we haven't all forgotten last years wunderkind plays in the yellow n black.

I think the issue is, he played last night, did some good things, went missing most of the game.

Nothing amazing from a young player, nothing to blame him for either.

Move along for now, nothing to see here... yet.

Will be a very good player. Has shown a lot for a young player. Hard at the ball, can mark , can run ,can kick, can read the play unlike some of the other duds playing for us.
