Batchelor mk 2? not quite but we have an alarming number of players who haven't improved.

It's a bit more than that with Nick imo ToO. This is a bloke who rightly or wrongly was talked about as a future captain. So far from that sort of talk it's not funny.

like many have said, the coaching staff are getting too cute with his role.

But to be fair, they've been pretty cute with a few things and its been working.

The fact that Nick's nose is rapidly becoming a facial joystick, is also contributing to a form slump.

Hopefully he doesnt consult Daniel Chick's surgeon.

he's a tough half back flanker.

Get him out of the forward line & into defence with stints going through the middle. If he can't start getting his hands on the ball or playing his part there is no other option other than a spell in the 2's

His possession numbers have actually dropped despite spending more time on the ball. Yes am aware he's had some injuries so this is slightly skewed but he sure has trouble getting to the footy first.

i think it is worth noting how low a possession team we are, mostly due to game style. we are not handballing, we dont chip around much. i reckon most of ours guys disposal numbers would be lower this year than in previous years.

having said that he Vlastuin doesnt get much of the ball when he does play midfield, and he doesnt do enough if played mostly forward.

347 disposals this year per game compared to 367 last year so approximately 1 disposal down per player per game. Of the top few players disposal wise this year who played substantial number of games last year all of Martin, Cotchin, Grigg, Ellis, Edwards, Rance, McIntosh are getting less disposals. Only one of note getting more is Houli.

A big loss when he went off, thought he was very good down back in the first quarter.
Yep, should be a permanent defender. Composed, strong in the air and at ground, reads the incoming, fills holes very well n rarely wastes the pill. Gets lost playing as a forward n should only be down there if he manages to link on a run out of defence.

Any idea if they were talking AC joint , reco, stinger or collarbone ?

Definatly back where he belongs, worth a try in the middle , he just ain't a midfielder, nothing wrong with having a settleted back 6 or 7

Looked to be on song, 7 disposals in 28 minutes of game time, 1 contested mark, 2 goal assists, 2 tackles. Has just had wretched luck really last few games.

He was my preferred pick for that draft. But what would i know, im just a mug in the outer.

Every year year I want to take a real junior ruck, but no, never happens, and certainly we never take a top rated one. So we have a gutsy but undersized one and and huge but incredibly raw one. Coll have Grundy.

Looked right at home down back until injured. A big loss, hopefully not for too long.

He owns it back there Tooheys. Not sure why we can't accept that he's just a backman (and a bloody good one at that) and just leave him there.

Hopefully not out for long.
