Not sure, but just caught the end of channel 7 sports news (from Adelaide).
It mentioned Neil Craig was in Melbourne "talking to AFL club Richmond".
Not quite sure whether I heard it correctly, does anyone have any further info?
Hope you are right. Could add so much to our fitness and development areas. Irresponsible of our Board if we do not have a chat IMO.

It was mentioned on Footy Classified that Craig was in Melb talking to Richmond yesterday. Thomas said he would make a perfect right hand man for a younger coach who is still learning the caper.

I also read in the paper that Craig was told by the Crows to take 2-3 months holiday and then come back to the club but that Craig was already bored after a week of not working and was keen to get back to some type of job soon. Apparently he is not the type to take a long holiday and likes to be working.

Sounds like a coaching setup like Hird and Bomber could be on the cards. I think that would be a positive for us.

Big positive at least Dimma will have support and he might teach our blokes about fitness.

I've said it before nad i'll say it again. THis bloke would be great for our club. Lovethe way he goes about things. Got stale at the Crows but he could add a lot to our coaching staff I would reckon.

You might be onto something Shawry.

I've said it to Shawry and fully agree. Make it happen Tigers.

I've heard some very good things about Craig's approach to preparation and attention to detail that come from his cycling background, I'm on the bandwagon

Geez I hope this happens. Adelaide despite their recent woes are a professional outfit totally unlike the RFC - so he will bring a lot to the table. (I'm sure after he picks his jaw up of the ground once he is told how things currently work.)

Heard he willing to even bring his own table.

:rofl :rofl

Very funny Mav. It is sad but probably true.

Wouldn't it be fantastic to see a fit and strong Tiger team run out onto the MCG. NC has been preping the Crows physically very well IMO. I watched the Rich V Adelaide preseason game at Princess Prk and was impressed with their size and how cherry ripe they looked, especially compared to our whippets. It has been surprising to see them underperform this year.

Have posted on here before that Craig is a control freak. Wants to ensure that every detail, no matter how small, is worked out in his (teams) favour.

Could be good or bad I guess.

Just on Craig, he was incredibly unlucky not to get the Eagles job when Worsfold took over. The Eagles rated him really highly.

I'd personally conisder that an endorsement of him as a coach if nothing else.

This is about getting the best resources into this football club to compete with the rest of them.

Neil Craig, Matthew Knights and even Dean Bailey can come in and be assets and help us improve. All maybe aren't Head coaches, doesn't mean they do not have strengths that we can utilise and be a Premier Club again. Neil Craig on Sports Science and High Performance, Matthew Knights on Development and Dean Bailey as a senior assistant coach.

If we want to be the best, we gotta get the resources for that to occur.
