Should never had got the job in the first place.

Interesting what they doing with Howard....compared to Bogut,
both coming off serious injuries and major surgery.
Lakers are opting to play him as much as possible,
while the Warriors are limiting Bogut to 20 minutes a game and resting him when they play back-to-back games.
And is actually being rested for the next 7-10 games....taking it very slowly with the A-Bog.

What's with this +/- (team net points while player is in game) stat the NBA use??

Makes no sense to me.

If you know what it is, it's a great stat for basketball to show how influential a player in a game is.

It shows the difference of points the team achieved (scored - scored against) during the time the player was on court.
So if a player finished the game -10, his team was outscored by 10 points while he was on the court.....kapeesh.

Yeah I kapeesh, but it's not a realistic way to measure player performance. Just a bit of luck involved in it IMO.

When you look at one game maybe, but when you look at the average over a season it is a very good stat to look at.

I suppose Jake King would be leading our list then. ;D

Mike D'Antoni is the Lakers new coach.

Could've had Jackson back yet choose the guy who employs a no defense gameplan and his teams play an uptempo fast pace yet the Lakers are old and slow.

Hopefully Lakers continue to struggle.

It was a strange turn of events.
Majority of the players endorsed Phil,
and Phil Jackson himself said he would return to the Lakers if the negotiations between the team and his agent went as expected.
Apparently Jackson said he was stunned when told that D'Antoni got the job.

D'Antoni did a good job at Phoenix but the defensive was ordinary,
they had a stack of outside shooters that would sometimes leave Steve Nash as the only guy in the lane.
D'Antoni's biggest asset is offense..but it's the D that's the problem....ranked 18th there.
We'll see...

Massive coup for the Melbourne Tigers signing Johnny Flynn....6th pick in the 09' draft....he was just about my favorite college baller outside of Blake Griffin.
He's too good for the NBL though.

Yes and Yes :)

Really got some man luv for Kyrie AND he is part Aussie!

Wow that is impressive.
108 shots he had....most teams usually only have about 85 :hihi

Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 in an NBA which I find remarkable.
