NBA 2011

Heat got rolled by Washington of all teams who only had 1 win from 12 starts going into the game,
had a feeling Miami would drop one soon....they only been just sneaking over the line against lesser teams in the past few games.
Expected them to beat the Wizards though.

Almost another upset with Memphis lucky to take Phoenix into OT to get the job done....Suns were in front the majority of regulation.
Randolph's monster game 38-22 got them over the line.

Heat are really just going through the motions though arent they. Just do enough to get by - know they'll make the playoffs easily, and really, if they play to their talent, the championship is theirs to lose.

Lakers got done by Orlando who are absolutely rubbish....how embarrassing.

Magic are 7-10. Haven't got the big names but are playing some good basketball. Absolutely rubbish?? Don't think so.

Lakers are 8-10.

Lakers are 8-10.

Fair call, I only seen them play one game when I said that and they lost that by 39 points....
but I did see them beat the Warriors and was impressed.

Congrats to Kobe on being the youngest player to reach 30,000 career points.
Joins Abdul-Jabar, Malone, Jordan and Chamberlain getting that many....not bad company.

30,000 pts and 5 rings, can't argue with those stats.

The Heat will face extreme cap pressure come 2014.
Because of the 2011 lockout, in 2014 the NBA will amplify its already painful luxury tax penalties by instituting a "repeater tax," sent at teams that have paid the tax in four out of five seasons, and the Heat are almost certain to pay it should the team either continue with its salary structure for 2014-15, or re-sign their top three players after exercises an early-termination option on the contracts.
Bosh looks as massive chance to be let go...still 18 months away it'll b interesting to see how this plays out though.

Lakers get rolled by the Cavs :rofl
Irving back in and they break their 5 game losing streak, good to see!

Nope, don't mind the Cavs, with their starting Aussie as PG ;)

Let's be real....Irving is more American than Aussie by a long way, but we'll take whatever we can get :hihi

Howard has cost the Lakers at least 3 games, the other team just hack the hell out of him down the stretch because they know he can't shoot from the bonus.
It's not a coincidence he gets to the line 20-25 times every game.

It's hard not to get excited by the Warriors...I've tried to stay composed and not get ahead of myself but it ain't easy. :hihi
In the middle of a 8 game road trip and going 5-0 so far which is our best since 1978!
Going 15-7 this is the best start to a season by GSW since 91-92 and they have the best record in the NBA against teams above .500.
We've played the equal 3rd most road games too, I'm not used to this feeling. :spin
Still with Bogut to come back.

Go Wolves; welcome back Ricky!

On a 'not quiet as happy with, but still happy'... Great stuff Warriors and Kyrie! ;D

Heat take care of the Wolves 103-92 but what blows me away is the rebounding difference, Wolves won that 51-22!!
I haven't seen that big of a differential in a long time...very rarely a team would lose with that kind of domination on the glass.
Plenty of second chance scoring opportunities....18-6 in the offensive boards.
The shooting % percentage was very similar but what cost the T-Wolves the game was turnovers 19-8.

OKC quietly going about their business.

20-4 now after winning their 11th game in a row today (against the Spurs).

I think that the Harden/Hayward/Cook/Aldrich for Kevin Martin/Lamb 2 x 1st round draft picks and a 2nd rounder was beneficial for both OKC and the Rockets.

IMO if Martin is smart he will sign on with OKC for next season and beyond rather than test the FA market if he wants team success.

OKC have such a great young core and will be up there for at least the next few years with Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka/Martin

Irving has some serious handles.

Great to see the Wolves play some great team basketball, with better D than they have had in years past too!

What a 4th Barea had, knocking down 14 points.

Great to see Love come to play, instead of whining like a child.

DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended indefinitely by the King's for "unprofessional behavior and conduct detrimental to the team".

He and the coach got into a big verbal altercation during half time and was left in the locker room for the entire second half as a result.
