NBA 2011

Lakers GM is the best in the business.
Traded Kwame and a pick for Pau Gasol to win 2 rings. Traded Fisher AND got rid of Luke Walton for Sessions. Got Steve Nash. Traded Bynum for Howard.

Are there cash compnents to these trades? In the NBA. I mean would any of these trades have involved the players, draft picks and cash?

I saw a doco recently about Wayne Gretzky, and he was traded to the LA Kings for players, draft picks and $15 million.

I recon the Howard trade is still a rick for the Lakers, due to whether his body holds up. Bynum, no such worries.

James Harden traded!!!
He rejected the $52 mill offer so the GM shipped him off.

Houston receive: Harden, Cole Aldrich, Lazar Hayward.

OKC receive: Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, 2 first round picks and one second round pick.

Thunder would have needed to exceed the luxury tax threshold if offered him more.

I think this is a great trade for OKC.

The 2 first round draft picks along with Lamb (who was a 1st rounder this year) will be a good bonus..

Kevin Martin is a good player too.

Good to see the NBA season start!

GSW got a win on the road, If you told me Lee and Curry shot 4-30 between them....I'd expect a loss.
Bogut eased in to it with limited minutes but looked good, Curry was rusty hardly played in the pre-season, Barnes will get better....
probably the best bench I've seen the warriors have for some time.
If Curry and Bogut can stay healthy all season.....playoffs are a chance.

Agree, great to see the Warriors get a win and more so to see Bogut get through and shake some rust off!

Didn't mind seeing the Lakers lose either :)

How's Harden's start to the season, 37 and 45 in consecutive victories, 12 assists is the first game also. Gun.

:hihi

Whoo hooo... The T'Wolves are 2-1 without Rubio or Love, and Barea missing a game (loss) to lead the Northwest :)

Cunningham proving to be a great addition during the off-season, along with Budinger.
