He'll be a very tired lad tonight. That was hard work.

But that's ok, he couldn't get near the pill so he decided to make sure he contributed in other ways.

If you have ten tackles, you don't get dropped no matter what else you have done.

Bit like Grimes I don't care that he wasn't at his usual standard just care about him getting through games and getting some continuity in his football. Sadly Grimes got another injury but it's the same with Foley.

Heard Leppa pre game they don't expect him at his best for at least another 6 weeks. Something about the calf muscle needing conditioning.

Leysy's had a close look at his appendage recently. Its lost a lot of blood & has drooped noticeably.

Still a way to go until it is thrusting forward at its full capability.

Stick with it mate, it's like riding a bike.

I'm sure he will be rising to the occasion before too long!!

You skulking around the changerooms nowadays Leysy or just standing in front of the mirror n admiring the scenery.

Needs to play the lockdown role instead of Lonergan.

Takes him to the footy, he has enough speed to do the job, is a good tackler, and removes Lonergan from the team.

Axe is battling. Can't be easy coming back from such a long layoff when the midfield is heavily under the pump but he's obviously not the same player he was atm.
He is easily 6 weeks off from being back close to his best.

You can't expect a guy to come in after his injury problems and blitz. You have to persevere with him for another month, and hope he gets fitness and form.

Big fan of Axel but if he is 4 to 6 weeks away from real match fitness then surely he should be in the 2nd's and build up there before playing AFL? There are some kids in the 2nd's that right now may have more to offer us.

Your being very generous. His problem might be match fitness. But His real problem has been with him since the day he started, his field kicking is dismal. He refuses to kick and his touch has been all over the place.
Back to the 2nds till he can find some form otherwise see ya later.
Can't hold on to players that don't want to kick a ball. He had 3 chances last night to release with a kick and choose to handball every time to a teammate under pressure.
