Nathan (Axel) Foley [MERGED]

Will absolutely top off our midfield beautifully when he returns. Adding Axel to our rotations is going to be amazing... If he can come in and stay fit our midfield is going to be really hard to beat.

no rush... perfect weapon from round 10-11 onwards. Let him do his 6 or so weeks NAB cup (staring this weekend) and inject him when he is cherry ripe.

Didn't NAB cup finish weeks ago?

I was meaning the NAB period Foley missed would be Coburg games he needs to get under his belt as he basically 8-10 weeks behind the core group match wise.

Right gotcha. I doubt they'll be playing him in too many Coburg games. It took him quite a while last time to find the speed of AFL again. I'd hope if he's played 3 good quality VFL games that he'd be straight back in.

He's had achilles issues for a while and is pain-free for the first time in 3 years.

He was also lucky with the surgery. Often the surgeon needs to cut some tendon from the inside of the big toe and stitch it into the achilles but that wasn't necessary for him.

hopefully regains his zip pre injury. one area we lack around the packs is zip.

Say what?????

Surely your having a lend?

reported in recent times his time trial / speed tests where the same pre injury.. all good signs. He is so damaging carrying the ball, such a wonderful reader of the play, just his finishing/disposal skill let him down from time to time.

Yet another good headache to have in 2-3 weeks time(assuming we are still up and we have no injuries/suspensions).

Imagine if we manage to win the next three then suddenly have a fit Foley to come back into the line up. The lid will be in another postcode
