I bumped into Nathan Foley at todays game and had a brief chat to him. He told me that the leg is all good and he expects to play for Coburg by Round 3 with a return to the seniors by rounds 5 - 6.

Yeah I had a chat to him today at the game also. He said it was coming along well was running well sprinting well etc and should be back around rd 5-6. He said he's around the 8 month mark from when injury occurred and that was around the time it takes generally with this injury. Nice bloke axle got a photo of him me and the little one which was great

Smoking were u talkin to him behind the benches standing against the rails. Spotted someone having a good ol chat with him there

Yeah that was me. We crossed paths and I asked him how he is going and from there we got chatting. Ripping bloke.

Yeah, I had a chat with Nath as welll and he said "look, I've just told those 2 blokes before I expect to be back by rd 7 now *smile* off!"

Axel will be a huge addition to the side, particularly when all the attention will be on Cotchin and Deledio.

Hope it's round 6. Rather him not have to fly over to Perth for round 5.

A sight to see, looks to be in good shape...Images 17, 22, 23, 24 and 25 of Nathan Foley.....

I went to training today and watched the guys. I did note that Nathan was training with the mids and going flat out in the running drills and set plays. He seemed to run with no impedement what so ever. He looked as if he could easily play this weekend so if round 3 is his return to Coburg he would do it easily IMO.

overheard a snippet on the news and I thought I heard they say he may be picked this week (VFL).
It came on just before they showed McGuane being interviewed.
anyone hear this?

No, must have missed it.
I loved the interview with Carey, he actually looked nervous.
Well done mcguane! Just proves hard work can pay off.
Well done to the coaching dept too

yeah Luke said that he will probably play a half this week!

Three games at Coburg (1/2, 3/4, full game) then the perfect sub for a couple of weeks at AFL level. Ready to go from round 10-12 as a full time mid.

Imagine, Nate coming on at 15 minutes mark of the third.

IMPACT!!!

Good to see the Axe sharpening...

When do they allow supporters in to watch training?

Chris Scott on Sunday was he first coach with the balls to willingly use the sub that early. I've thought we've left ours too late both games this season.

On topic, go the little Nugget!
