Nathan (Axel) Foley [MERGED]

Johnno Brown was a huge wrap for Axl on the sunday footy show this morning.
Gotta be going o.k. if the big fella likes your work.

Was awesome last night. Loved how he just shrugged McLeod off like he was nothing in the first quarter. Fev wouldnt have kicked 6 if it wasnt for Foley last night.

If Bomber Thompson hadn't been biased against him and given him more game time (only 64% compared with most others in the 80%'s), he would have been clearly the best midfielder for the Vics. At least he got a reasonable run, didn't get injured and got himself well placed for an AA selection later this year.

Foley is trained anaerobically (burst, quick acceleration etc.) and he can only run 70% of the game out anyway IMO.

I reckon he was their best midfielder anyway... very dangerous player... if he only the opposition paid him that little respect when he was lining up for us.

Does anyone have Foley's Time on the Ground percentages for this year??? Disco, maybe???

how long is he contracted for?
Won't be long and other clubs will be sniffing around

The dreamteam got of to a good start because their midfield was firing.. Axel came onto the ground and started getting clearances which started turning the game around.

I agree, tungman. Thought Axel turned it around for the Vics.

Excellent I50s from Foley when he was pantsing his more famous opponents. And when he botched one later in the game he roved the error and kicked one himself.

I prefer that they don't. When the opposition don't respect players like Axel the likelihood of a win increases.

What a joke when Peevola says "great delivery into the forward line from Judd, Bartel and Mitchell" and this is why he can kick 6 and be BOG! He obviously forgot the two direct goal assists from chest passes from Foley ... no thanks to Foley for 1/3rd of his goals!

Keep up the good work Axel ... the PRErs recognise good players!

a real mickey mouse game. but what i wouldnt give for us to have one more exactly like foley.
A young Kid by the name of Cotchin might tickle your fantasy Claw ;D ;)

Well done to Axe and great goal he kicked.

*smile* just wins awards and praise for easy efforts.........leading and kicking goals.

As for the messiah Franklin, he has proved Sweet FA so far....compared to other forwards.

We have Claw and he runs around in a seconds jumper as well.
if you are talking about cotchin that is yet to be seen. foley is a natural onballer cotchin will have to learn the caper.

Best call of the night came from moon head Hudson when he said "Foley doesn't look out of place out there"!!

FFS you knob of course he didn't look out of place. Thats why he was picked!

yeah...patronising little git. Damning him with faint praise...keep going media boys, keep focussing on hawforlorn, keep telling 'em how good they are... There will be NO room on our bandwagon when it gets into town...

Looked like an elite rover amongst the best 50 or so players in the competition. Clearly we are fortunate to have one of the game's best rovers.

Now if we can get 3-4 seasons out of Mark Coughlan and with Cotchin to come, now we're getting somewhere in the middle of the ground.

touche' FF, and Hudson doesn't look out of place bringing up the rear of the most appalling commentary team going round, like a dog *smile* on the canape`s platter. STINKS

Yep. Great game. The moment he game on he started to have an impact for Victoria. Only had 64% game time too. If he had of been in the starting 18 and given more game time, he might have been a chance for BOG.
